Julius' POV
I wake up and look at my alarm clock. Damn! It's almost 9:00AM! I jump out of bed, get whatever is in my closet and run out the door.
I'm running as fast as I can, then out of nowhere, I trip! But lucky me, I didn't fall over entirely. If I'm late again, my teachers going to kill me!
Later.....
Aaaahhh.... Nothing like a good shower to relax me. That is until I looked into the mirror afterwards. The scars... Every time I look into a mirror. Those gruesome images,,,
Sounds of screams and crunching metal echo through my head...Tears escape my eyes... I hear something.
A creak.... Someones here... I can sense it...
I take a look outside my bathroom.
"Hmmm... " I shrugged and went to my room.
I heard another creak and turned around.
No one... Again. I must be hearing things.
I turn around, only to be surprised by Marina. I felt my cheeks go hot.
"I... I... Uh... Ummm...." I couldn't think right now. I felt a hand go against my chest. I wince as Marina gently touches the scar on my chest. "How did you get these?" She asked, concerned. Then, more tears fall to the floor. I start to sob. "I got these...." As I pointed to the scars. "From a car accident...*sobs*... My mother, father, and twin sister died that day, February 14th, the day of my fathers birthday... He drank a bit that day... And he was driving....*sobs ... there was a turn and then...... "
"My mother, father, sister and brother..... I'm a triplet, you see, any ways.... they.....*sobs*"
I couldn't help but cry. It was too devastating for me to talk about it.
"I was the only survivor... the others..."
She put her arms around me.
"I felt as if I was the reason that we crashed... *sobs* Marina put her index finger on my lips.
"Don't think for one moment that you caused that accident, it could've happened to anyone." She said.
She's right. I'm not the only one that's scarred.
I hold her even more tightly.
Then, she starts to sing a lullaby.
My eyes start to grow heavy. Then memories of my mother singing went through my head.Next thing I knew I was on my bed laying next to Marina. I slid closer to her and wrapped my arms around her and whisper in her ear: "I love you." She replies "I love you too." She held my hand as she said that.
