The beams from the ceiling were falling and I could hear people calling after me. I wasn't gonna stop now tho. It was hard to see from all the smoke and dust but I still was able to make my way around the house. "Hello?! Anyone in here?!" I called. Hoping to hear someone call back.
Nothing.
I carried on looking but the dust got thicker and the beams continued falling. "Hello?!"
"Over here!!!". I ran. Fast. Vaulted a beam and found a girl. Lying beneath a toppled book shelf with a guy kneeling next to her. "Calum?". He looked up at me. "Raven? No. No you need to get out here now"
"No. I'll help get the girl out and we'll both leave"
"There's someone else upstairs"
"In that case you'll carry her out and I'll go up"
"No!"
"Calum im not arguing about this! Just do It!"
Before he could say anything else I moved round and grabbed one side of the book case. "Help me!" Calum ran and grabbed the other side, together we lifted it up but, half way through, caused more ceiling to fall due to a beam on top of the book case. "Grab her and pull her out!"
"What about you?!"
"I've got It! Just hurry!". Nodding, he went back to the girl and as I help up the case he pulled her out.
Dropping it back to the ground Calum ran back over to me. "Come on. We need to get out"
"You said there was some one else"
"There's no time!"
"I'm not leaving! Go! Now!"
"Raven"
"No! Just....go. if im not out. Don't come back for me. No go!". Hesitantly, he nodded and ran to the exit.
Upstairs. Stairs. Where the hell were they? Of course they had broken. Most of upstairs was. The black fog finally began to choke me but i wasn't giving up just yet. Jumping up, grabbing the edge of where the stairs had once connected to, I pulled myself up. Looking around, it was no better up here. But i had to try. I looked around for what seemed like forever. I couldn't stop coughing and It didn't help I couldn't see a thing. The red flames were everywhere and the black dust and ashes stung my eyes and blocked my lungs.
Calums pov
I was able to get the random girl out. Around 100 people were outside, just watching the crisise. "Thank you. Thank you so much" praised a girl who looked to be the sister of the victim. I nodded a welcome but as i did she looked mortified. "The other girl. The one who ran in there. Said she'd find my sister. Is she out? Is she Okay?". Raven. Raven was still in there.
I turned, just looking at the house. The flames. The ash cloud. I had to get to Raven. I went to go run but it was too late. A flash of white light. A rush of burning heat. Being flung back back and hitting the rubble hard. I don't remember what happened next. Screaming? Alot of screaming. Running? Alot of that too. But i couldn't move. Everything hurt. I could see. Couldn't open my eyes. "This is it" I thought. The end.
