In Control

I wake up and reach over, expecting Harley to be there.

She isn't.

I growl and get up.

I don't have the patience.

I go out of the room and storm into hers.

"HARLEY!?!"

She sits straight up in her bed, "Puddin?"

I grit my teeth and look at her, "Why weren't you in bed with me?"

She looks so confused, "You were asleep, I didn't want to wake you up."

"Didn't want to wake me up?"

I almost want to accept that but no.

I grab her up out of the bed and push her into a wall.

"I don't care what happened to you in Belle Reve. I will support you. But I will not have you avoid me like this."

"But Puddin-"

"Harley."

She shuts up and I let her go.

"We're going somewhere, get ready."

She nods and I walk out of the room, getting dressed.

I go outside and sit in the car.

I will not have this.

She gets in the car and I grin, "Ready?"

Harley looks at me nervously and nods.

I step on the gas, ready for what's about to come next.

Once we get there, I see her pale.

The one and only, ARKHAM ASYLUM.

I get out of the car and open her door.

I offer her my arm, which she takes.

I know my men are waiting inside.

We walk in through the back entrance and I shoot the sleeping security guard. The alarms start going off and I ignore them.

I lead her to the old room used for electrocution.

I have to fix her.

She looks at me and I point to the table.

Harley shrugs, "I love electroshock."

Once she lays down, she says, "It's like a shiatsu massage for your brain."

I smile and nod, "You've got the picture."

I strap her down and Jonny stands beside me.

"Again, Joker?"

I stare hard at him and nod, putting a rubber block in her mouth.

I can't have her teeth shattering.

She grips the side of the gurney as I take the electrodes and put them to the side of her head.

"You ready, doll?"

She nods, her face distorted in a grin.

I hear banging at the door and sigh, "We'll have to make this quick."

I flick the switch and her body begins to jerk violently.

I throw my head back, laughing.

Perfect, perfect.

I zone out, the room colored.

I don't know what's happening until I'm being pulled away by Jonny and I don't see Harley.
