10 years earlier...

Earthquakes were heard in the sky, tearing the atmosphere apart. A child only the age of 6 was left crying in the streets of Cheshunt. Waves of sun were burning every human being that got in it's way, but the sun was not the only thing causing harm. Some, thing some, creature was tearing its way throu--

The first wave was all but a pass by, a few million dead, maybe a billion, but that was only the start of something much, much bigger.

Present day...

Beep! (Car horn) "Get out the road!" a young man exclaimed,  Konnor was too busy riding as fast as he could. Beep! Beep! The road was growing shorter and the sky was falling asleep, that's why Konnor was fast, faster than the car, and much faster than rabbit being hunted by a fox. Screech! The bike tires slid across the pavement like a very... A very large man , I didn't say fat, rolling down the hill. All just so he could knock on this door. No, not just a door, but a door that will soon be he's dreams come true. "Rosa!" she leaned out the window with a sophisticated gesture, she yelled back "Konnor!" Finally Konnor's dreams were coming true. The job, the bike, well the bicycle and now, "Ros-" Screech! a car barrel rolled  it's way into Konnor's path and hit him down like a professional bowler. Konnor strikes his way into an ambulance... Rosa beside him nothing she can do to stop the pain. Konnor's only sense was hearing. He heard gunfire ever so slightly in the sky planes whining, and the faint whistle of a bomb swishing past him.

Konnor awoke, his vision returned to cob webs surrounding his eyes. Wires camouflage his body,  then a long tormented beeping sound screeched it's way into Konnor's ears as he pulled the protruded wires out one by one. Viciously, Konnor attacked the webs and found himself in an unfamiliar place, it had a bad aura about it. The floors where covered with mossy green and dark plantation. They bend towards the the only light in hope of a new life, the walls were painted by the suns rays and beneath it was a red thick substance. The ceiling was... Well it was together not broken, or painted by blood or overgrown by plantation, It was normal. Konnor found his way the the corridor and scavenged for anything he could eat. The sun was just setting or was it "rising"

"Rising" said Konnor innocently. "Yes, you're safe now" Konnor peeked to see who it is."wh- where am I?"

"New Turnford of course." She replied ecstatically. "What year is-"

"2028 5th February. " She interrupted Konnor as if she's had to do it all night. "er-m, OK I guess?" Replied Konnor confused and in shock. "So, I'm in 2028 huh" smirked Konnor. "Yes, you are... We've been waiting for you"

"What do you mean waiting?"

"I mean you have been in hyper-rest-"

"You mean hyper sleep?" Interrupted Konnor"Well yes an--"

"You're telling me I've been a sleep for over 11 years?!" Interrupted Konnor again. "Look calm down! ...It wasn't just you... You're lucky"

"Lucky?"

"Yes, lucky... Now if you put them clothes on I gave you, that would be great then follow me."

The room roared with pain as the wind filled up it's pipes, like lungs you could hear the breathy air escape and then be imprisoned again. Konnor however, admired the walls, the moss, the stench, the...

"Alright now Konnor, is it?"

"How'd you kn-"

"Label on your cloths, you were a patient, somehow you survived."

"Survived what? Tell me!"

"You survived the second wave."
