Quizzing Turned Dangerous

Chapter 3

We all turned and looked at Zachary. "What do you mean, you were right?" I asked him.
"I figured we were trapped on another world, one that was built to look like Earth, but also extremely different," he replied, turning to look at me. Before I could say anything else, I heard the sound of several people running towards where we stood. Turning around, I saw three people. The one in front looked to be male, wearing a black skin-tight suit with a crescent moon on it, wielding twin daggers, and had blue eyes and blonde hair. The other two were both female, one wearing sneakers, a checkered shirt, and sweatpants, wielding a fearsome-looking battleaxe. The other female had long dark brown hair and blue eyes, was wielding a longsword and small daggers, and was wearing jeans and a red hoodie with what appeared to be a black shirt underneath.
Stopping in front of us, they pointed their weapons at us, which made us realise that they were not friends, and may possibly be very hostile. "Who are you?" I asked them, slightly raising my sword.
"I'm The Reaper," said the guy, "And these are MJ and Panda." he said, pointing to the girl with the battleaxe, and then the girl with the sword and daggers. "We're the ones that brought you here, and if you want to go back home alive, then you'd better do well, because we're about to put you through the hardest trials you've ever seen." With this being said, they turned away, and I was suddenly hit with an overwhelming sense of fatiuge. When I woke up, all the others and I were laying on the ground, and the three creators were gone.
"Well guys, I guess you could say that meeting was very..........tiresome!" I said, and was met with a bunch of groans. "I'll be here all week, or possibly all my life!" I replied cheerfully. Now that that strange encounter was over, I had the opportunity to look around. Doing a full circle, I saw the building we came out of, and a large grassy plain as far as the eye could see. As I watched, however, the building disappeard and was replaced with a strange vehicle. I walked over to the vehicle amd inspected it. It appeared to have an automated steering system, and was hovering slightly above the ground. Motioning to the others, I got in the vehicle.
"What is this?" asked Estelle.
"It's a hovercraft," I replied, though never having seen one before.
"What does it do?" asked Chloe.
"It's going to transport us to wherever the creators want us to do our first trial," Shadow replied before I could say anything. I wondered how he knew this, and decided to keep an eye on him. Once everybody got in the hovercraft, it took off at an alarming speed across the plain. We started moving so quickly that the landscape turned into a blur. When we came to a stop, we were in a clearing in a forest. The bottom of the hovercraft opened up, and we were all deposited on the ground. As the hovercraft sped away, we all got up and were immediately surrounded by several goons wearing full black clothes similar to my strange ninja outfit, but with a crescent moon logo on them, in a shape similar to Zachary's scythe, which made me suspicious of who Zachary really was. They were all wielding swords, and was lead by a girl with a double-edged sword. I could sense something strange about her, and informed the others to be weary of her.
"Who are you?" I shouted at the lead figure.
"My name is Maddie, and my grunts and I are going to turn you into chopped liver," she replied confidently. With a single hand motion, her grunts spread out and advanced towards us. Motioning to Infinity and Chloe, I told them to take cover in the trees and shoot at the grunts, and that I'd give them cover. Pulling out several shruikens from my suit, I threw them at all the grunts, and Maddie, forcing them to dodge. While this was happening, Infinity and Chloe both took cover in the trees, and the rest of us faced our enemy.
"Here's the plan," I said, "Zachary, you'll face Maddie, and the rest of us will face the grunts." With this plan in mind, we spread out to attack the enemy. There were 8 grunts, and 4 of us to face them, since Zachary was facing Maddie. When Maddie saw Zachary, she had a temporary moment of surprise, but quickly covered it up. As we prepared ourselves for the battle, I had a sudden feeling that Zachary wasn't really on our side, but I had no reason to suspect him of anything. I gave the motion for everybody to attack, and we advanced.
"NICO NICO NIIIII!!!!!" shouted Infinity as he started spraying the enemy with bullets. Upon instinct, I grabbed both sides of my sword, and pulled them apart into two, and slowly advanced towards my two grunts. Upon quick inspection of my teammates, I saw them all to be doing well. Everybody had successfully beaten one of their grunts, and Estelle was making quick work of her other one with lightning-fast moves. Thus having distracted myself, I turned around and saw a grunt swinging his sword at me. Quickly dodging, I saw an arrow hit him in the middle of his chest, and knew Chloe had my back. Turning to face the other one, I lunged forward with extreme speed, and swung both swords at the same time. Pressing the grunt back, I swung blow after blow after blow, battering down his defence with a sheer multitude of blows. Backing him into a tree, I quickly finished him off.
"Brisinger!" I heard Kipz shout, and turned to see her sword light on fire as she plunged it into the chest of her second grunt. Looking to see how the others were doing, I saw Ren quickly slice both her daggers across her second grunt's chest, and Estelle had already finished off her second grunt. Looking over at Zachary, I saw that he and Maddie were evenly matched. Everybody joined me, and we watched Zachary's battle, when, suddenly, Maddie grabbed Zachary and teleported away, leaving the rest of us in shock.
