02|I am Baby's Turn of Events

The wall we build around us keeps out sadness , but it keeps out joy as well. Unless someone is strong and patient enough to come around a knock your wall down.

I don't know why I chose to torture myself, I have enough money to buy a nice apartment for myself in new York but no, I chose to stay in the house of Martha and I. It wasn't all that. Just a nice small house two floors. A decent sized kitchen and two bathrooms since Martha would spend hours in the morning until she felt beautiful.

Her room was just across the hall from mine and I haven't been in there since. I could take looking at the living room, our kitchen, it hurt but I could take it. But looking at her room would be the straw to break the camels back.  I knew that if I opened that oak door to her room I would combust and most likely go on a rampage.

That day, I'm chose to just stick to my routine. Jog, gym, food, sleep. That had been the routine for two years,I didn't see a reason for change.

I levitated my clothes to come to me, as I was feeling lazy and put them on. Oddly, I felt excited to go to the gym and I sure hoped Steve rogers wasn't the cause because that would only go mal for me.

As I put my curls in a ponytail before closing my door I was met with the warm spring time air of New York.

My thought drifted to the face of Steve Rogers as I jogged the streets. I chose to just jog straight to the gym which was a good thirty minute jog. I told myself I wanted to be early to the gym to work out more. I knew I was lying to myself but sometimes wanting overlooks reason.

He had a very unique face. His sparkling blue eyes had spots of green. His rich strawberry blonde hair never had a strand out of place. He looked beautiful. He was tall with a built structure.

Yet, aside from his perfect physical appearance, I could tell he was just as broken as me, if not more.

The jog to the gym felt quicker than usual as the broken down gym came into view. I made my way inside and something felt off. I heard an unknown voice from inside the gym which was odd since early in the morning it was only Steve and I.

"Is there anything about the Tesseract I should know about that you haven't told me?" A deep brooding voice said in a low but superior voice from inside.

"You should have left it in the ocean."

I could hear a double meaning in his voice and footsteps make their way towards me outside.

Rogers seemed upset, I don't know why but that made me upset. I told myself it was because Steve helped me and I felt somewhat sired.

The footsteps neared and followed the man outside and he stopped.

"Aye Bub." I called out to the dark skinned man in and long trenchcoat. "Turn around." I walked up to him.

He did so and I saw that he wore an eye patch.

"Did a parrot come with the pirate costume?"

"I don't get it." He said humorless.

"Ok..I'll get to my point." I flipped him over so that he fell face first to the ground. "Don't bother Steve again or I'll chop your dick off and show it to you, got it?"
