i dropped the pink pajamas on the shiny Macy's floor and looked her in her eye with the straightest face with my hands now on my hips .
the store manager walked over , "pick that sh.t up! you know how long it took me to fold these clothes?"
"i'm so- "nigga , you pick it up! big bird lookin' a.s" Tai said grabbing me walking away .
"you are so rude" i whispered trying to hold my laugh in .
she walked to the cashier with the things i bought and shook her head .
"i bought alot of clothes Tai , don't you think this is too much ? college isn't that important is it ?" i said scratching my chin .
the cashier raised her eyebrows as she swiped every item across the scanner .
"no it's not , calm down you're fine Le'Many" she said .

i handed her my card and the machine beeped .
"sorry ma'am but you're card is invalid" she said smirking .
"one sec" i turned around and looked up .
"she's praying , just hold on a minute" Tai said .
"now Lord , i know i haven't gone to church in almost a month but i'll get back .. just please don't let me have to go through all of this difficulty this morning" i smiled and turned back around .
"swipe just one more time" i smiled putting my hair behind my ears .
she rolled her eyes and swiped my card along with saying something that put joy in my heart .
