what had i done?

i had invited him over?

i am so foolish.

it'll be so awkward.

i hope he doesn't mind my weirdness.

my anxiety grew as my thoughts progressed. i began to hyperventalate.

and so began a panic attack.

a very unnessacary one.

i laid on the floor and breathed heavily. i began to sweat. i could hear my heart pounding against my ears.

a knock was heard from the door.

i did not move. i couldn't breathe.

another knock.

"phil?" a voice said. presumably dans. i breathed faster.

"phil? i'm coming in"

oh no

he can't see me like this

is the door unlocked?

more thoughts wavered my mind as dan entered the room. he dropped whatever he had in his hands and ran to me.

"phil!"

"phil, its okay. calm down."

his voice softened. i felt his gentle hand stroke my hair as i breathed slower. my heart stopped pounding so loudly.

"d-dan?" i said.

"yes? are you okay? can i get you anything?"

"i'm okay. here"

i stood up and pulled his jacket off of him, putting it aside.

he stretched his arms out to make it easier.

"phil"

"phil, you really don't have to-"

"danny, you are my guest"

"danny?"

"yes, danny. would you rather it be insomnia?"

he went silent. i chuckled and sat in front of him cross-legged.

"i didn't know you liked totoro."

"of course. i love him"

i took the plush of him and hugged it.

dan laughed. i smiled, looking into his eyes.

those vibrant, brown eyes.

"your so cute, phil"

"uhm, i-"

i felt the soft  feeling of dans lips against mine.

the world stopped turning.

time stopped ticking.

sound stopped being heard.

everything was perfect.

i know that feeling now. and i know it well.
