sailing like a pirate

Ten years old part 2

AUTHORS NOTE: sorry for not posting in a while I've been having bad writer's block and it's hard to remember to update with school and stuff ill try to do better.

When Aedan saw him his eyes got big and he buried his face in his shirt.

"I missed ya Breandan." he cried out holding the young boy close to him. Aedan looked at me then ran over to me and hugged me,

"Thank you." he croaked. everyone was cheering and hugging each other. I was so confused, everyone looked like the could kill anyone but they are all hugging each other and crying I guess they were like family. Breandan walked over to me I could tell that he was Aedan's son because he looked just like him he had the same ocean eyes and same golden hair.

"thank ya, ya brought me back to me papa" he smiled his voice was full of joy his eyes could light the way on the foggiest of nights.

"your welcome, now let's get back to building that ship" I laughed

we both ran over to the wood and lifted the wood into place as the others nailed it down. As we built, more and more pirates were brought back to life.

It was nice seeing everyone reunited, but I started to miss my family I didn't know how long I have been gone, I found a way out and walked home as I got home I could hear yelling and smashing I quietly peeked through the window and saw some people from the castle slaughtering my family. I yelped at the sight, one of the men heard me and started to chase me I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I turned around to see if they were there till I ran into someone.

I looked at who I ran into, Aedan, he picked me up and ran back to the others as we got there the boat was almost done we had just a few more planks to put on then we would be done. I was shocked at how fast the ship was done but I didn't question it. I walked over to Brendan and sat beside him.

"so what happened," he asked looking at the ground

"the king's soldiers killed my parents I saw them with my own eyes" I cried burying my face in my hands. Breandan put his hand on my shoulder

"Me ma hasn't come back yet," he said his face blank with no emotion, I looked at him,

" M.m.maybe she didn't want to come back" I stuttered.

his face turned red and he started to shake

"What did ya just say, why would she not want to come back!" he yelled,

his father ran over.

"Why are ye yelling at the captain" he snapped glaring at Breandan

Breandan just stood up and walked away.

"Are ya ok?" he asked

"Yeah, it was my fault" I sighed and got up to find Breandan,

I walked around looked for him till I found him in a dark crumbling tunnel with some bones, I listen quietly.

"I miss ya, ma why don't ya want to come back" he cried looking at the bones.

I slowly crawled to him and put a hand on his shoulder. he just sat there looking at the bones. I then heard everyone yelling saying that there was one last thing that had to be done. I walked over to the ship and wrote "Goliath" on the side of it. As I wrote I could hear people yelling and cheering as I turned around I saw Brendan and Aedan hugging a woman.

"hey Ide this is me wife Aine," he said with tears in his eyes. After they were done hugging and catching up we all piled on to the ship and set sail.

I was going to miss this place and all the good memories but now I'm going to make new even better memories. As we got to the ocean we saw some other ships sailing around. As we got close to one of the other ships the people started to throw ropes onto our ship and they put a piece of wood to walk across. The other boat was full of soldiers, one of the men walked calmly onto our ship and asked to talk to the captain, everyone looked at me. I walked over to him and looked him in the eyes.

"What do ya want" I glared trying to look tough. He just stared at me with an amused look on his face.

"You are the captain." he laughed motioning to how short and young I am.

I looked at him with an unamused look and grabbed a sword from someone's hand.

"Yes I am, ye got a problem." I snarled and pointed it at his neck. His face turned a pale color and he backed up slowly,

"No, I don't. I'm looking for a girl named Ide." he stuttered

"Why do ya needed," I growled.

"The king's son wants to marry her," he said getting nervous

"I'm Ide and I ain't going nowhere," I shouted putting the sword to his throat. Everyone started to attack and kill as I stood there with the sword at his throat watching any movement he made as he watched his men get slaughtered like my parents.

After all his men were dead with one swift movement I cut his arm and told him to tell the king and his son that they were not going to get me. After he left we sailed away leaving Ireland behind. I started to walk around the ship making sure everything was in order, as I walked I saw Breandan looking at the ocean. I walked over to him and looked at the water.

"I missed the ocean" he sighed.

I just stood there looking at him his face was so calm and peaceful like he didn't just kill people, I walked closer towards him and hugged him,

"Goodnight Breandan" I whispered as I walked away.

I then saw Aedan with Aine,

"hey Ide ye did great today, let me show you to ye room captain" Aedan motioned to a door that had captain carved into it.

I opened the door and walked in, the room had a small cot a desk and other cabinets. I walked over to a mirror my blonde hair was a mess and my green eyes looked tired.

"Ye should get some rest Ide ya gonna need it" he started walking out of the room.

"Hey captain ye are a good leader even if ye are only 10" he smiled closing the door.
