Chapter 1:
He dresses in his black tee, jeans, and beat-up converse. Not that this is anything new. This is his usual attire. His goal is to go unnoticed. Too scared of any attention.
Houston Michael has always been an anxious person. He was diagnosed with a panic disorder at the age of twelve when he had his first panic attack. It was in front of the whole school too. No wonder they call him the 'freak show'.
He checks in the back of his closet, behind his old Jonas Brothers CDs, to assure himself that the worn out brown journal was still there. This was a daily thing for him. That old thing meant more to him than Girl Scout Cookies—and he loves those. If anyone read that old thing, he would surely be sent to a hospital-if not a mental institution. It's the only place he can let himself go.
He walks inside of his bathroom, brushes his teeth, and takes his dinosaur-crap pills. At least, that's what he calls them. They're massive and leave an awful after taste in his mouth if he doesn't swallow them fast enough. His mother doesn't appreciate the name. He should be great full he is able to have medication to help, according to his mother.
Huston is met with his mother's "delightful" cooking. His mother can't even heat-up a pop tart without burning it. Who know how she is capable of that? He swallows it down anyway. For he knows his mother would worry if he didn't eat the most important meal of the day. As if she didn't worry enough about him. She is extremely over the top when it comes to her only son. But she has a reason to be. Her husband, Huston's father, had schizophrenia disorder and didn't want any medical attention. The family granted his wish. He committed suicide when Houston was only eight years old. His death definitely took its toll on Houston.
She drives Houston to the education prison called Lakeview High. This place was full of know-it-alls, spoilt brats, and losers. Houston doesn't think there's one totally normal person in this school. Maybe that's why he doesn't have any friends. Houston walks to the entrance with his signature slouch and face towards the ground. But he looks up just to see the only constant in his life. Emery Lynch.
--------------------------------------------- This chapter is incredibly short and boring, but I promise it will get better. This is more of an introduction. This beautiful cover is by junctions . The picture linked is Manu Ríos. In other words, Houston Michael. Incredibly sorry for any mistakes.
