"I'll put Clint to bed," Vision offered, holding the slumbering toddler.

"How was it?" asked Tony, who was the first to greet them.

"Good," Peter smiled.

Once Vision was gone in the other room, Peter let it all out.

"Oh, I was afraid of this," Steve sighed.

"What do I tell him? His parents are dead, his brother is an adult in the circus?" Peter frowned.

"We can't tell little Clint; he doesn't understand," Wanda frowned.

"We must come up with something; lying won't help the young child," Thor added.

"We say nothing," Tony answered everyone's questions.

"What?" Bruce frowned.

"A kid doesn't need to know about his dead parents."

"But a kid doesn't need to be lied to," Steve hissed.

"I grew up without my parents most of the time. Life was hard, but I had friends. If we tell Clint, it'll hurt him," Tony explained.

"But if we keep lying, he'll be hurt more when he finds out," Steve frowned.

"Hey, no need for another Civil War," Peter interjected. "In case you're all wondering, Clint here probably won't miss his father. His father abused him."

"I read about Barton's files since I joined S.H.I.E.L.D.; his father was an evil man," Natasha frowned.

"Then what?" Steve asked.

"I don't know," Tony replied. "I don't know yet..."
