She loves as if she
couldn't breathe,
and gives her heart
in tiny little pieces;
for to be loved back
is all she ever wanted
and all she ever needed.
And her warm smile
lit up her star-lit eyes,
but boys seem to love
giving her rain
as she cries tears
of melted snow and ice.
So yet the girl wonders
when she'll be able to find;
the right guy
who can make her smile
and stop her when she cries,
for that's all she's
ever wanted all this time.
