GHOST The story before the death

Chapter 12 - hello old friend

After a near death from the US navy, the team press on with to mission. MacTavish 

has been searching the area for a while when ghost radios “The old shower room's 

about thirty feet ahead on your left. You'll have to breach the wall to get in”, 

after a small explosion and gunfire the team encounters Russian riot squads. While 

the team have been doing what they needed to ghost had copied the gulags database to 

his laptop, he thought he should regroup until he found out it failed so he kept 

using what was there. After a long wait ghost hears radio chatter, “Ghost, we're in 

the old tunnel system heading south-southwest” ghost looks on the system and 

finds the team, he radios MacTavish to tell him keep going that way. Ghost’s pc starts 

beeping to warn him of a thermal spike. Ghost radios MacTavish “I'm detecting two 

heat signatures - one of them should be Prisoner 627” after breaching explosions 

occur and don’t seem to stop, the team exfill the area. Ghost try’s to radio 

MacTavish but fails, he then radios Lisa to pick him up and circle the area for 

MacTavish. After Lisa picks up ghost he spots a flare shoot upwards, signalling a 

S.P.I.E rig to be dropped for clip-on, Lisa deploys the rig and waits a few second 

before lifting u vertically showing 4 people, one not in uniform and one on fire. 

Lisa dodges the incoming barrage from the US navy ship nearby. Ghost saw Lisa scared 

out of her mind that he sat in the co-pilots seat and told her “Lisa, I’m here, 

keep calm and we will get through this, tell me what you need” she just told him to 

shut up and sit there. After the bad exfill, Lisa lands back at the ship and 

proceeds to follow the shutdown checklist. The team dismount and head to the kit 

stores to unload their kit but ghost stayed with Lisa to comfort her. Lisa started to 

cry and ghost pulled her from the chopper and into the living quarters. Ghost 

couldn’t understand why Lisa was upset until she told him “ghost, I don’t know how 

to say this so I’m going to just say it, I’m pregnant” with that ghost just stood 

there in shock then just as he was about so say something he fainted. Luckily prisoner 

627 was around to catch ghost as he fell, he shouted “medic”. 1st aid quarters, the 

team sat to watch ghost wake up, ghost thought “why is everyone watching me?” 

“Ghost, are you ok?” asked 627, ghost replied with “I’m a father and who are 

you?” 627 answered “I’m captain john price, ex SAS your mate from years ago” with that 

ghost remembered and asked “what happened to you?” “Remember that civil war in 

Russia?” price asked, “I read the files” said ghost. “Well that’s what happened, you 

remember don’t you soap” with that soap nodded and said “we should get back to 

work, we still have lots to do and you need your rest ghost” with that everyone left
