The Changes

Chapter 5

Jason's POV

I opened the door for Emily but Kellan went first and then Emily did. "Wow, this is YOUR house?" Emily asked Kellan. "It could be yours too" Kellan said laughing. "Kellan!" I yelled He continued to laugh. Emily took a seat on the couch. Kellan sat in his favorite 'reading' chair. "Let me see the cut on your knee" I told Emily. I kneeled in front of her. She rolled her one pant leg up and revealed her mark. There was dry blood and a little scar. I nodded. She pulled her pant leg back down. Then I went over to the kitchen. I looked through the door.

Kellan was getting a drink of wine and Emily was staring at the walls and the fire in the fireplace. I cut my arm a little so some blood would pour into the glass cup I held underneath it. Any vampire blood could help cure any cuts or bruises. Only if they were alive. I added red wine in with it so she wouldn't know what it is. She will eventually know, since we have to tell her. Everything. Not one detail off. I took in a deep breath and walked into the living room. 

"Here drink this" I told Emily. Kellan gawked at me and Emily looked up. "What is it?" She asked. "..something to cure the cut" I said. She took the glass. She sniffed it, looked at me, and then drank a small sip. "mmmm" she said. "What is it?" She asked again. Kellan stood up and spoke up "Blood and wine." Emily was in shock. "Blood!?" She said placing the cup on the table. I kneeled in front of her. I rolled her pant leg up and made her look. The cut was gone. Not even a scar. 

"How is that possible!?" She asked in a terrified yet calmed way. "Vampire blood cures any cuts or bruises or wounds, only if the person you are giving it is alive." I explained. "And you can turn them into vampires then. If they have vampire blood in them. It only lasts 24hrs. So if you were to become a vampire we or someone would have to do it between that 24 hours." Kellan added with a smirk.

She took her attention off of me and went to Kellan and sat with him on the couch. "How do you change people, humans, into vampires?" She asked She didn't seemed scared or anything with the situation at all. "While the vampire blood is in their system you simply break their neck." Kellan said. He didn't sugar coat it at all. She looked at Kellan. Interested in the subject. "What are the good things about being a vampire?" She asked. I hated the fact she was asking Kellan and not me.

Emily didn't give Kellan a chance to answer because she noticed our rings. "They are almost like Mr.Jacksons. But different. Is Mr. Jackson a vampire too?" Emily asked. "No" I spoke up "His is to bring him back to life if he dies ours is our daylight rings, so we can be out in the day and not only at night" I said. She kept her focus on Kellan. "I want to be a vampire." She said. And she looked serious too.
