DYLAN
Dylan woke with a start. Bolting upright, she clutched the sheet and her nails made an unpleasant scratching sound on the fabric. Where was she? The whole room very small, containing only the bed, a desk and chair in the corner, and three doors. The whole room was also white. Everything. Even the clothes she was wearing, she discovered, was the same shade. Confused, Dylan tried to remember where she was. When nothing came to her, her heart began to speed up and she slipped out of bed. The hard floor under her bare feet made no sounds as she crossed to the door at the foot of her bed and tried the handle. Locked. The next door opened to a small, also white, bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink and mirror. Upon closer inspection, she discovered the mirror was inside the wall, covered by plastic so it could not be broken. Growing more confused and panicked by the second, she tried to remember anything at all. To her alarm, she could remember her name, Dylan, age, and things like you shouldn't put your hand on a hot stove, but not her parents name, if she had siblings, friends, where she went to school, etc. Trying to keep calm, she spotted a note on the desk next to the bed. With shaking hands she picked it up and quickly read the bold print, hungry for information.

YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR A GREAT OPPORTUNITY. YOU AND 99 OTHERS ARE HERE TO PARTICIPATE IN TRIALS DEVELOPED TO TEST YOUR ABILITIES. IF YOU PASS, YOU GET YOUR MEMORIES BACK. TO PASS YOU MUST SURVIVE. WAIT FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT OVER THE SPEAKERS.
"Survive?!" Dylan exclaimed to herself, a habit she had but didn't realize half the time. Looking up, she noticed the speaker mentioned in the note in the corner, along with something that looked suspiciously like a camera. Putting the note down, she poked around the room some more, trying to keep the anxiety slowly building in her cheast at bay. The only thing she found was a pair of slip on-you guessed it- white shoes under the bed. There wasn't even dust. Putting them on, she nearly jumped out of her skin when the speaker crackled and ordered her to exit the room. The previously locked door clicked, and Dylan pushed open the door to see just how bad the situation was.
