I Got A Youtube Channel - A Joe Sugg Story

Chapter One

My name is Olivia Sparks, or Oli for short and i'm 22 years old. During one summer I finally plucked up the courage to create a youtube channel called OliSparksIt.

I’m majorly influenced by danisnotonfire and emma blackery. I create videos telling embarrassing stories and recreating short sketches of what happened. There are so many of these types of people about that I never thought I’d get noticed. I’m not a makeup guru, I can’t sing, I’m not majorly talented in anyway. I just happen to fuck up every now and then and turn them into my youtube videos.

It did take a while to gain subscribers but slowly and surely I got 50,000. It was incredible!

To celebrate I decided to use an idea from one of my favourite youtubers, thatcherjoe. I did an innuendo bingo video. Not what I normally do but I’ve wanted to do it for a while.  Instead of it being with another youtuber however, I played it with my mum. I’m super close to her so the whole thing was just hysterical and it got a great reaction from my fans. And I gained a ton more subscribers, it even went a bit viral. I turned this into a mini series, me and my mum playing innuendo bingo with clips that my viewers had sent in. Before long I had gained another 100,000 viewers. I was getting more and more noticed. Youtubers I’d never spoken too before were tweeting about it.

That’s when I got a message from Joe Sugg.

I started to panic as soon as I saw his name, what if he was mad for me using his idea? I’d always linked his videos below mine and said he was my inspiration. I know it was originally radio 1’s but Joe had made it into a youtube series of his own. I didn’t rely on just youtube clips, mainly tv series and films but still. I was nervous.

I opened up the message.

To OliSparksIt

I was lucky enough to come across your wonderful version of innuendo bingo. I still can’t believe you did it with your mum, she was such a great sport! The bit when she keeps saying how she can’t understand Caspar’s accent? Priceless.

Soooo I was wondering whether you wanted to be on my next innuendo bingo? I’ve been getting a lot of tweets from people suggesting it! Seems like a brilliant plan to me.

Woah. I didn’t see that one coming.

 Yes i know it's short but it is what it is. 

I can’t promise a weekly upload yet because I haven’t got that far into the writing of it. But never think I’ve given up on it. It just might take a bit of time between them!
