The sun was bright and the wind was calm the moment Ethen woke up. The sun blinded Ethen's eyes. The ground beneath him contradicted the feeling of his bed. Ethen felt the touch of something soft yet prickly. Quickly he started getting up but as he did, he noticed a rabbit laying next to him. Ethen gasped as he inspected the rabbit. Not only was the rabbit pink, but it had antlers.
"What kind of rabbit are you..?" Ethen chuckled, not believing what he was seeing. While looking around his surroundings Ethen saw that he wasn't anywhere near his home. Ethen was so confused, that he doubted he was back on Earth. He looked back down at the bunny who was now sleeping on his arm. Ethen would feel guilty if he would wake up the bunny, so he decided not to. He instead went to sleep with the bunny and did not dream, he was in total darkness.
Ethen woke up to a soft feeling rubbing against his face. He rose up and yawned. The rabbit was now awake and looking at Ethen.
"Oh, you're still here huh." Ethen sighed. "Any chance you know where I am?"
"Youŕe on the planet Nostiri, and now I can ask a question. Why did you come to this planet Human."
"Ok, so......am I not welcomed here? Geez if Iḿ not welcomed here.....tell me how to go back to my home, Earth." Ethen said as he looked around for a house or civilization
"So what's your name...." Ethen asked the bunny and feeling isolated, and clearly not understanding what he was talking about.
"You don't need to know that." The voice Ethen thought was coming from someone else was the bunnies. Ethen quickly got up and shook it off. He had enough of this nonsense.
"Why are you talking, and what are you, all I know is that you're not a rabbit!" Ethen exclaimed.
"Silence, you have to climb that hill now." The rabbit commanded as it pointed to the hill that was too far away for Ethen to even think of getting there.
"As if, I'm not doing anything a rabbit like you tells me."
"Shut up, you're really ugly anyway, I don't even know why Iḿ wasting my time with you, trying to get you somewhere safe."
"Safe.......You mean if I climb that mountain I'll get somewhere safe with people.?"
"Yea but you better hurry before night falls."
"Why, what happens at night."
"Can't say for good, let's just say that a friend of mine stayed out all night and the next day I found his bones."
Ethen gulped at the story, he looked at the hill and sighed. He started walking. He wanted to know where he was and why he was there. And then he fell.
He fell for a short time but it felt like more.
He looked up at the crater that was formed in the ground where he had fallen.
He didn't scream, he just closed his eyes. The second he opened them, he hit the ground.
