note: Not an unfortunate bonus chapter, but an unfortunate poem! Dedicated to the A Series of Unfortunate Events books because I'm absolutely excited about its Netflix series adaptation on the 13th of January! 💖 Also, if you volunteers would like to talk about the upcoming Netflix adaptation, feel free to go to my random work entitled "Hotel Denouement" wherein we can discuss freely about asoue!

~*~

It was a dark day --
where the walls started falling
and the house started crashing
as the fire burst in flames.
It was a sad day --
for the three little children
whose parents have now passed away.

And as the burned ashes simmered;
and the tears start to fall,
their questions left unanswered,
as evil makes its call.
And all they have to do;
is try to survive,
for the good are damned,
the evil forgiven --
will they even stay alive?

What a strange, strange world,
where the mysteries unravel
and the puzzles to be solved.
What an unfortunate world,
will the secrets be revealed
or kept untold?

Who to trust --
in a place where everyone
seems so vague and obscure.
Who to go --
when even your puzzled mind
and broken heart has no cure.

And as they fought for themselves;
with only wit as their shield,
will they conquer the flames,
that the fire-starting ones had build?
Has their parents left them clues;
written in parchment papers,
or been told to them some stories,
only found in heavy books?
Will they even stay alive?

What a strange, strange world,
where the mysteries unravel
and the puzzles to be solved.
What an unfortunate world,
will the secrets be revealed
or kept untold?

Keep a lookout for:
Very Flammable Dandelions.
Keep a watchout for:
detectives disguised as lions,
and be careful with handling
that harpoon gun you're holding;
or the fungus trapped inside
that helmet you'd been wearing.
And as this poem is finished,
don't you ever forget:
to burn those unfortunate books
the ones that you've read.
Throw them in a pond,
the one where Denouement is dead,
and maybe you'd sleep well tonight
as you lay in your bed.

What a strange, strange world,
where the mysteries unravel
and the puzzles to be solved.
What an unfortunate world,
will the secrets be revealed
or kept untold?

This is for Beatrice,
my dearest brave and bold.
