He sat there. Every morning he sat there, in front of the café, watching, waiting. Who he was waiting for, nobody knew besides him. He was there every morning for the past month. Every morning he got there at 8am on the tick, but today he was late. The café employees all know his order, and had it ready at 8. He didn't show up. He finally got there at 8:30, half an hour late. His coffee and croissant were cold, he didn't mind. He sat in his normal spot outside of the café, under the beautiful trees, he could hear the birds, and he waited, as he did every morning.
