Chapter 1

So today is the most exciting day of my life, my old friend from way back, is coming to see me for the first time in 8 years. Who would that be? August Alsina, but first let me introduce myself.

I am Jamika Cartel, i live in the ghetto part of phoenix arizona, i talk ghetto some times but when i'm in a nice place like Olive Garden ( Yes i can aford it :P ) i'm very proper. i'm 5'somthin tall, i dont weight my self much or check my hight, big but.......YuP! i have hazel eyes, light brown hair that reaches half my back, i'm light skin but not to light, also i'm the type to say things like, Snarf ( What the Snarf you lookin at ) and i got 3 tattoos (left arm) i have my Mothers name, (right arm) i have my grandma's name & ( back ) i have a picture of a gardian angel & i work at a hair salon.

When i was done putting up my chrismas tree, i went to my room ( to bed room, 1 bathroom, living room in kitchen, very small house ), i took a shower for like an hour, when i got out i put on jean shorts, red tank top & black & red jordans, i curled my hair & put it up in a bun & curled my bangz to the side.

I answered the door & saw my best friend Da'Rica.

Whats up i'm Da'Rica, i was born in the ATL but riased in Phoenix, where i met my home girl Jamika. I am carmel skin & not light bright, if i feel a bad vibe with place or people i will say something, i got light brown eyes, short dark brown hair, i got a tat on my chest that says ( I need my money on time ).

Rica- WHATS UP HOMIE!

Me- Hey loud mouth.

I moved to the side to let her in, we stood by the door for a few minutes then she said.

Rica- I gotta problem. ( she said looking away )

Me- ok what is it.

Rica- Trey kicked me out the house, & i tried to go back but he locked me out.

( Trey- Trey Songz, the abusive bf )

Me- see i told you to leave him.

( Door Bell )...

Me- AUGUST!

I ran to him & gave him a big hug.

August- Hi shorty, Hi Rica

( BTW rica & August use to date until Rica met Trey & there relationship & friendship went down hill)

Rica- Hi august ( she said with a big' ol cheesy smile )

It got awkward for like, 12 minutes then i interupted the silence.

Me- soo how long you stayin here.

August- 4 months maybe.

Rica- how exciting :)

I put august bags in the guest room & i over heard Rica & august talking.

I handed Mika my bags & she went to go put em in the guest room, while she did that i walked around for a minute to look at the place. i came back to the livingroom, it was just me & Rica but she broke the silence.

Rica- so me & trey broke up....

Me- So

Rica- so i'm single

Me- And

Rica- Look August do i really half to say i miss you.

Me- You don't got to say any thing to me.

I pushed passed her & went to see whats takin Mika so long to get back down here.

i sat on the couch while august went upstairs, i was looking at all the pictures i kept of me and august, untill trey called.

Rica- Hello

Trey- Where you at?

Rica- Why?

Trey- None of your freakin busness dats why!

Rica- * sighs * I'm at Jamikas house

Trey- i'm on my way.
