Kai's Pov
I woke up and checked the clock.3:35am exactly.I knew I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep so why bother try.I sat up in bed slowly,trying not to hit my head on the ceiling.I silently climbed down the ladder and crept out of the room.I went onto the deck and stared at the stars,The beautiful stars.Almost as beautiful as Jay
How oh how i wish he was mine (This sounds like shakespear XD.)I heard footsteps behind me as i span around fast to see the redhead teen standing behind me."Kai?Why are you out here?"Questioned Jay.Good Point.Why was i out here?"Couldn't Sleep."I Grunted out as quietly as i could."I turned round to face the horizon again and slowly tapped my fingers together like an evil scienctist would."May i ask Walker,Why are you out here?"i questioned more out of spite then wonder."I-Well...Uh...I couldn't sleep either."Jay sighed and he leaned against the railing.For the next few hours we just talked and waited for the sun to come up.At 6:32am the sun began to rise as the new crisp day started,But as i stared out into the distance i could sense something wrong was goi-"Beautiful isn't it?"I was snapped out of my thoughts by Jay speaking."Yeah"I replied."Me and My adopted parents used to watch the sun come up when i was a kid."Jay Commented.I didn't reply.I didn't have to.The silence said it all.Anyway,When there is silence,Why break it?Soon enough we were called in for breakfast.I just slowly followed Jay into the dining room.Zane had made it,Like normal.

Jay's Pov
Kai is acting...Weird.He hasn't said anything!He usually isn't the really loud one...Which is Cole.(Oh Jay X3)But normally he says stuff like a normal person would but now he's acting...strange..."Hey Jay!,Pass the syrup."I heard Lloyd yell across the table."Sure!"I replied happily as i grabbed the syrup and passed it to Cole to Pass to Lloyd.We all finished breakfast and left Zane to Clean.(Im sorry Zane! XD) Sensei Wu came and said to me and Kai"Jay,Kai can you go downtown and buy these items for me?" I studied the list before saying"Sure Sensei!" Holding the list in my right hand
•Bread
•Milk
•Flour
Then in scruffy handwriting at the bottom clearly written by Cole.
•Cake :3

"Cmmon Kai."I said grabbing his wrist and walking out the door.Walking silently through the village I remembered a shortcut that leads to downtown."Hey Kai!I know a shortcut!"I beamed out."Are you sure that this 'Shortcut'Isn't a Longcut?"
Kai questioned "Of corse Im sure!"I said cockly and i led him down an alleyway with a small opening at the end.There was A whisper of "Freeze"From a unknown Person.i turned fast and before processing what had just happened,I heard a bang as Kai jumped infront of me before falling to the ground and the figure running off."KAI!!!"I screamed as i dropped to the floor to see blood gushing out of this upper arm!"Why would you do that for me Kai why?!I could have taken the shot!Yo-"He cut me off by saying"No Jay...its....How Things shoud be..."He whispered before Passing out.
