listen, we do not. do not. do not. copy n paste song lyrics into books. why? because it's out of place and distracting to the narrative.
music fades in and out. maybe a couple months from now that hot emo bands gonna be forgotten. but your novel still has four pages of old outdated music that brings the hardcore cringe.
naming stuff in general is sketchy. i would be cautious to even name drop a song. let your audience imagine what theyre singing or listening to.
