This is a sci-fi, Hunger Games-style novel, or series? ...Possibly... Yes, it is sci-fi, with a touch of romance. Anyway, it is about two reining families who compete every 3 years in a series of games called Rollox, so and so year. Ex. Rollox, 35th Year. The family who wins Rollox will be allowed full control of the nation until the next year. A teenager from each family compete in one game, with the winners facing off in a final battle, whether it be hand to hand combat or ultimate survival test. The losers can face either death, usually, or regain their life based on how efficient the game play was. The loser of each game is determined by virtual death, The actual body is collected and transported into The Lab, where they remain, or should I say, practically float, in human-sized test-tubes, or at least that's what they appear to be, until the decision is made on whether they live or not. Ramben, who has always been a little excited, and overly confident, to "win" Rollox, finds out it wasn't what he was expecting. Or was it?
