Chapter 1

"Seth get ready quick.Have you packed your bags? Did you keep the list of the homework and topics to be covered in your studies? Did you take the-"

" Relax mama. I did. I did the homework yesterday so that I could spend more time with dad enjoying, rather than studying. And yes I packed my bags with my clothes, toys and some useful stuff. You relax coz' I am just going to Dad's." Seth said.

That little boy neither knew about the swirling pools of emotions in his mom's eyes nor did he know about the heavy weight of guilt on the mother's heart.
" Ok young boy. So hop on in the car. We need to leave for daddy's now."

Savannah noticed the chesire grin spread on the boy's face at the mention of his daddy. But she also paid no heed to the longing in her heart at the mention of her ex husband.
A blanket of comfortable silence spread across them along with a soft melody of the songs of Seth's choice.
A tragic divorce with a painful ending can do that to you.

Kevin Richmond waited eagerly for the black Mercedes benz S- series to come towards his house. After 7 days of being alone he was really excited to see his son. Somewhere deep inside he was also eagerly waiting to see Savannah.
Waiting to see how she was doing. Her wellness meant more to him than anything in the world.

After waiting for some excruciatingly long time he spotted a black and sleek car coming towards his house.

Finally . They're here.
He thought.

And then he saw the young man who had him wrapped around his fingers and the lady who constantly filled his thoughts and who still held his heart.

She looks good.. perfect actually.

"Daddyyyyyy!!"
Came a squealing scream and with lightning speed, Seth came and hugged me.
"Hey,young man."
That's the greeting Seth liked. He never liked being called a boy.

SAVANNAH'S P.O.V.

Savannah saw Kevin. He wore a grey t-shirt and jeans. She loved when he wore casual clothes. She stopped the car at his house gate.

"Daddyyyyyy!!!!!!" Screamed the little bundle of joy and ran towards his father.

Savannah locked the car door and went to drop her son off.

"Hey." She said in a meek voice.
"Hey.How are you? Oh I am sorry I forgot my manners. Pls come inside and let's have a cup of coffee."
The way he stared at her.... As if seeing right through her body and directly into her soul.

Cup of coffee???!!!!! Is this Kevin?
Even though I had a meeting in about 1 hour, I still thought to accept his offer.
"Ya sure. Let's go. Show me the way to the kitchen; I'll make the coffees." I replied.
"No you sit here. I'll make it. I know how much you loved the taste of coffee I used to make."

Just after saying that he realised which subject he had touched.
Both the eyes had emotions deep inside of it. Feelings enclosed deep under the core of our hearts. Everything started to resurface. All those hidden feelings and those emotions popped out from the bottom and swimmed their way to the top. Eyes shining with the emotions. And the heart longed for all the never asked questions to be answered.

The level of awkwardness of the whole scenario was so high that it could be felt even by a stranger completely unaware of the situation.

But in the end, leaving everything behind, he went to make our coffees.

Oh what has my life come to.

In about 5 minutes he came back with our coffees and some veg. fritters in his hand.

"This is your coffee. And these are some potato cheese fritters that I made for Seth. This is the only vegetarian dish that I have right now.  You're still a vegetarian right?"

The grin that had chose to settle on his face dimmed slightly.

Maybe if we we're together, you wouldn't have to ask.

" Yes, I am indeed still a vegetarian and thanks for offering."

He remembered! My heart was pumping at an impeccable rate.

"Daddyyyyyy!!! You know what happened yesterday! My friend Peter went to a vacation with his family. Can we all go too? " He all but squealed.

Way to go Seth. Thank you for making it more awkward than it already is.

"Yes baby. We can go too. Where do you want to go?" Kevin replied.

Why is he accepting something that cannot happen?

"I want to go to a place with beaches. Lots and lots of them. We'll go there and have fun in the water. We'll also collect shells." He squealed and bubbled with joy.

After the awkward cup of coffee we shared, I signed off and took my resignation.

The whole day all I could do was let my thoughts wander off to the whole coffee scenario. It was just so awkward thinking how before our divorce our coffee times uaed to be so magical.

FLASHBACK {3 months after marriage}
"Hey sunshine. How was your day?" Came Kevin's voice from the living room.
I was in the patio completing my office work. It was a holiday today but he had some meeting that he had to attend.
Entering the living room, I saw Kevin making his delicious coffee.
"Kevinnn!!" I squeaked and jumped on his back ( after he had made his coffee.)
"Oh! Hold on darling." He said still in the shock of my jump.

After putting me on the ground, he lightly pecked my lips and nose
"Hi. How was your day?"
"Now that you are here it would be nice." I replied cheekily with a smile.
"Oh!So does that mean that I am your Ray of sunshine? The apple to your pie? The-"
" Yes, K. You know you are.... My only love. Always and forever."
" Careful there Princess. Sometimes saying things like that could get you in trouble." He all but grunted.
"Oh... What troubles daddy? Am I about to punished?"
" No Princess... You're about to be cherished..and loved and fucked so hard and deep, you'll remember that I am also the only man who'll ever enter you."

Not even a moment later, I hung from his shoulder as we decided to Christen the bed...
