Headphones | SoMa

"Soul?" "Sooul?" maka repeated but was never answered. "You and those damn headphones, I swear" maka looked over at soul who was listening to music with the new headphones he had gotten the other day. Maka decided to just ignore him back and
start making lunch for herself. She made a bowl of ramen and placed it on the table and started eating. "Where's mine?" soul said taking off his headphones. "You should have answered me when i was calling you" she said while eating.
"Well I had headphones on" the albino said.
"then maybe you should give them a rest for a bit" she said and put her bowl in the sink then walked into her room and began studying. After hours she was still studying until she heard a loud crash coming from the living room
"Soul?" she yelled from her room,leaning back on the chair a bit but there was no answer. she sighed and walked out of the room and into the living room. She looked around but saw nothing out of the ordinary until she heard a crash from behind her.
"SOUL! GET IN HERE NOW!" she yelled. she heard two more crashes from behind her and quickly turned around but still saw nothing.
"SOUL HELP!" she screamed. she was still practicing using her weapon blood so she was defenseless. her eyes widened and she trembled as the sound got closer and closer.
"Meow! hi maka!" blair the cat said coming out from behind the couch. "W-What was all that noise?!" maka said still trembling a bit.
"Oh I was just practicing moving stuff around with my magic!" blair said smiling.
"What?!" she sighed "Please go practice somewhere else" Maka said and took a deep breath.
"Ok!" blair said and leaped out the window still in her cat form. Maka walked over to souls room and knocked on the door but there was no answer. She knocked on it again angrily but still no answer. She was furious. She kicked down the door and walked over to soul
"Just what the hell do you think your doing?! I screamed your name like 3 times! If that was a real robber I could have been dead!!" she went on lecturing soul as he stared down at the floor with a bored look on his face then put his headphones back on. "Really soul?!" she sighed.
"If only i didn't love you so much...." she said, figuring that soul had music playing and was unable to hear her. But that wasn't the case, his music playlist had ended right before she said that. Soul couldn't believe what he had just heard. Did Maka really love him? He slowly took off his headphones and paused for a second ".....what" he said it fast and simple as if it wasn't even a question, he was in that much shock. Maka froze still and gulped
"N-Nothing.." she said and began walking out of his room. Soul grabbed her arm before she could run away "Lair..you said you loved me.." His ruby eyes looked straight into makas emerald green ones.
"S-So..?' she said looking off to the side blushing. Soul smiled
"It's ok maka. Because.." he paused for a moment "I love you too" he said and pulled maka in for a kiss.
