(f/f/c) - favorite fictional character

You sat in the back of the class as usual, not paying attention and doodling. You were a great artist and often drew your favorite people you read in books. Under your desk you took out your wand, muttered a spell, and watched in personal delight as your drawing of (f/f/c) came alive as a tiny 3D drawing.

The spell was great but the drawing could only walk around on the paper you drew it on, and you were working to create a stronger spell so it could come around classes with you in your pocket.

"Miss (L/n)," you looked up to see the whole class staring at you, as well as the professor.

"What?" You asked, your voice very small.

"What potion have I been talking about for the past 30 minutes?" He responded with a question.

"I--I," you raked your brain for any hint of knowledge on what it was. "Draght of Living Death?"

He squinted his eyes at you, then with uncertainty replied. "Yes, Miss (L/n)."

You glanced down at your paper and (f/f/c) gave you thumbs up.

The rest of the class you made no attempt to pay attention any more than you already had.

The moment class was dismissed you bolted for the door. You already knew what was coming, you held your breath as you strode past Professor Slughorn and attempted the blend in with the other students pushing their way out the door.

"(L/n), Snape. May I speak to you," He said as a command rather than a question.

You sifted yourself out of the crowd and stood infront of his desk. You stood next to Severus, you looked at your paper for support but only saw (f/f/c) asleep.

"(Y/n), you are obviously failing class. I can not have that continue any longer if your ambitions are still to become an Auror."

You sighed, he was right.

"The professors and I have compared notes and we have observed you are excelling in all the classes required to become one, except Potions. Snape, since you are fabulous in Potions, I would like you to tutor (Y/n)."

I gaped. He couldn't do that. He had no idea that he had just made my huge crush help me with Potions.

"You may use my class room and my ingredients as needed. None on the top shelf of course. But as you use them, make a list of what and how much of my inventory you use. You never know when kids steal ingredients.

In a month, I will give you the option to retake your Potions exam to try for a better grade. It is your choice if you wish to retake the exam and it is also your choice on how much you wish to get help from Severus.

I do hope you take advantage of this opportunity I'm giving you." He winked, gathered up some papers, and left.

"So, when do you want to start?" Severus asked. He was obviously excited to teach.

"It's up to you," I said.

"Alright, how about we meet here monday, tuesdays, and thursdays after our evening meal?"

"Sounds great," I muttered and walked out of the room.

"Hey, (L/n)," I turned to see Severus running to catch up to me. "What potion do you want to learn first?"

"How about Draught of Peace?" You suggested.

Monday came around quickly. You ran to the Potions classroom and walked in to see Severus setting everything up. Getting the ingredients out, scribbling down which ones you were going to be using, and assembling the small fire under the cauldron.

"Hey, Severus."

"Hello, (Y/n)."

"I, uh, took some cookies out of the Great Hall.. if we got hungry." You glanced at the plate of cookies with a paper doily under it.

"They're my favorite flavor! How'd you know?" You asked as you bit into one.

He flushed pink and turned towards the pantry to get more ingredients. "Lucky guess," he mumbled.

Severus and you continued to combine the ingredients, your first few tries were a fail. All the while you were deep in conversation during the duration of the time you spent together. Eventually, you had finally make it correctly. Then, he made you do it correctly three more times. It was nine at night before you had finished. You helped him clean up and put away everything.

"Thanks, Severus."

"No problem," he grinned. "What potion next?"

"Felix Felicis?"

"Sure."

Over the next four weeks of hanging out together you had become very close to him. You had learned so much about him. He had quickly became your best friend. This past time, instead of suggesting what potion you should do next, you told him to surprise you.

You walked into the class room and saw Severus had already made a potion.

Immediately a certain smell exploded into you nose. You inhaled another time, as you attempted to pinpoint where you had smelled this before.

"Did you just spray your cologne excessively in here?" You asked plopping down into a chair.

Severus blushed but didn't speak.

Silence.

"Severus?"

He decided it was time to tell him. "(Y/n), this is amortentia... It smells like whatever you are attracted to..."

You turned bright red.

"I-uh-I was kidding of course!" You laughed nervously.

You avoided all eye contact but if you hadn't you would've seen that Severus' face was pink, because he had smelled the fresh sent of your perfume.
