"Ayun panalo naman pala yung love mo bes." my gay bestfriend said nudging me hard.

Parang ang lakas naman nung pagkasabi niya. Luminga linga ako baka may nakarinig.

"Pat-ty bear, yang bibig mo." I said glaring at him "...quiet ka nga, mamaya may maka rinig sayo eh." I told Pat.

Si Patricia sa school, Patrick sa bahay nila. Most of the time he's Pat-tybear to me. My bestfriend. Simula pre-school yata kaklase ko na to. He knows everything and anything about me.

As in everything. Even those things, I my self do not even know yet.

Pat just rolled his perfectly curled lashes at me.

"Ikaw na teh...In denial queen. Pak, sayo na ang korona. Ipinapasa ko na sayo." biro niya.

From where I was sitting I knew Daniel or Dj as what he is fondly called by many will walk past me as he walks towards the stage.

I didn't want to look his way. Alam ko na kasing aasarin niya ako. I hope he won't notice that I'm sitting here. He'd probably think inis ako sa kanya because natalo niya si Diego.

The hell I care about Diego. Hindi ko naman talaga gusto yun.

His eyes, if it were a dungeon with dragons that breathe fire, I would probably slip my way every night for me to burn in his flames. My mind recited a poetry upon looking straight at him.

The noise around the hall became louder. The music became deafening. I looked around and everyone was clapping.

"You can raise your head na ulit. Di na siya nakatingin." I heard Pat say to me. Tumingin ako sa direksyon ni Dj and he wasn't looking anymore.

He was wearing a classic black suit matched with an expensive looking leather shoes. He had a mask on because it was a masquerade ball afterall. Napakaganda ng ngiti niya, but I knew he was being shy.

Hindi naman niya kasi trip ang ganito eh. He's more of an athlete than someone who wishes to be under these kind of spotlight.

Captain ball, and one of the richest in our school. Sila lang naman ang may ari ng hotel na ginaganapan ng prom namin ngayon.

My family is pretty well off too if I may say. Hindi siguro kasing yaman ng mga Fords pero may iilang restaurant din si Papa and Mama is a known celebrity.

Luzviminda Bernardo-- she's a famous chef and a writer.

Namana ko yata sa kanya ang hilig ko sa food and cooking. I love to eat, if there's something I do with passion yan ang magluto at kumain. Kaya nga mas close ako kay Mama kaysa kay Papa.

It's not as if I envied my sister for being my Papa's favorite. Siguro he was fond of a daughter who doesn't break his rules, yung sunod sa lahat ng gusto niya. Kahit na yung kurso na dapat kunin sa college.

He wanted us to take any business related course. Gusto niya sumunod kame sa yapak niya. Gusto niya maging pangarap namin ang pangarap niya. Gusto niya. Gusto niya.
