Chapter 12- How He Met Everybody Else

Grabe. I can't believe it's been 2 years since I started and updated this story. I'll admit it, my senior year was pretty hectic and so was my 1st year in college so I NEVER found the time to come up with a new chapter. Along with that, I won't make up any excuses kasi nagkaron ako ng major writer's block pero here I am. I'm back and still determined to finish this story!

-Luca's POV-

Sandali lang kami nawala ni Luna but it seems like a lot of things can change even with a short amount of time. Siguro if you were passing by our table you wouldn't realize that something's off. I mean, we look like an ordinary group of friends at the round table, the 9 of us are catching up with each others' lives.

Our conversation mainly involves our group's trip to Boracay(Rain- not included, of course), how everybody else spent their summer, school and the new member of our group- Rain. We asked him lots of questions and fortunately, he wasn't weirded out that we were like doing a background check on him. To everybody's surprise, he actually has a lot in common with everyone. And yes, including myself! Frankly, I disliked him the moment I saw him. His presence just felt too cryptic and I was wondering about who he was and why he was sitting with Anne, Trevor, Andie and Ian. But I guess it's true that first impressions don't really last haha. He's a cool guy! After all, he can mix, play bass and drums and he likes listening to The Beatles, Weeknd, Arctic Monkeys and NBHD! So who am I to judge right?! Along with that, I can also sense that his intentions are good.

Anyway, the atmosphere's fun, lively and pretty easy-going. But there is definitely tension going on between Andie, Trevor, Anne, Rain and Ian. I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong with this picture. You know what?

I'll find out soon enough.

-Ana's POV-

After waiting for 10 minutes our appetizers were served. Gosh, finally! I can smell the aroma of the Egg Drop soup. Dynamite shrimps in cocktail glasses, a platter of Ahi Cucumber Salad, Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps and a variety of dimsums were also served by the waiter.

"Thank goodness! I'm staaarving." I said as I heard my stomach grumble. I felt my cheeks heat up as I blush in embarrassment. Shit! I cursed at myself silently, looking at my hands which were holding the end of my white dress I hope no one heard that! Or else, that would be very.. err, inappropriate.

Syuichi leaned in and whispered "No worries. Ako lang naman ang nakarinig eh." he giggled annoyingly which led me to step on his foot harshly.

"Aray!" he said rather loudly hahaha! And it attracted everyone's attention!

"Are you okay?! What's wrong?" Shey asked acting concerned and all. She even put her hand on Syuichi's shoulder. Pero sus! If I know sinisimulan na niya yung "I'll make him fall in love with me" chu chu na sinasabi niya. Hay, good luck nalang sa best friend kong baliw!

"Yeah, I'm fine! Don't worry about me. The food looks and smells great!" he replied. Completely ignoring his aching foot. I put my tongue out, teasing him while he just rolled his eyes at me and then he messed up my hair!

"Better dig in before the food gets cold!" Trevor said before making himself a lettuce wrap.

"Tonight, we forget about our diet! Right, Shey!?" Summer asked Shey while she just nodded in agreement and reached for the salad. Seeing how she was struggling, Ian put some on her plate and she politely said 'thank you' with a smile.

*Sigh* See, Anne? No matter how many times you deny it there is no reason for them not to be together. Just look at them! They're perfect for each other.. Syuichi nudged my arm and put two lettuce wraps and three dynamite shrimps on my plate. He also put egg drop soup on my bowl and he encouraged me to eat.
