I tossed and turned all night long. I miss sleeping next to Niall. I never had a problem when I slept with him even though we would wake with our limbs all tangled up. Not being with him is having a greater effect on me than I thought it would. It has been a little over 24 hours and I miss him. I should have answered the phone instead of boarding the plane.

I get out of bed and head for the kitchen to make coffee. I drank way too much tea hanging out with those Brits. I grab the bag of Starbucks coffee only to find it empty. What the fuck? If this is the way my day is going to be, I am going back to bed.

"What the hell?" I yell as I throw the empty bag on the counter. "Riley! What happened to all the coffee?!"

Riley comes running into the kitchen. "What's wrong?"

"You left an empty bag of coffee on the shelf. You know the rule."

"Sorry. I wasn't expecting you back so soon. I have been picking up my coffee on the way to class."

I head back to my room pissed off. "Whatever!" I say as I slam the door.

I throw myself on my bed like a toddler in the middle of a tantrum. I don't know what is going on with me. It's just coffee.

I hear a knock on my door. "Come in."

Riley slowly opens the door and peeks her head around. "Olivia, are you ok? You seem a little off."

"Ugh. I don't know what is going on with me. When I left the tour, I thought it was what was best for the both of us and now I think I made a mistake."

"What did happen? You haven't told me why you are home early. I wanted to ask but I was hoping you would come to me on your own."

"I know. I just didn't want to make you worry about me. I actually thought, I was ok with coming home early but I'm not."

"Do you want to talk about it? We can go grab some coffee and talk."

"I guess so..." I pick myself up off the bed, grab a pair of sweatpants off the floor, and pull my hair back into a ponytail. "It's only fair I pour my heart out to you one last time."

Riley and I head out to Starbucks and sit in the park. I catch her up on all the details about the trip, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Her strength helped me hold it together when I told her about Jake and the fight that Niall and I had. She thinks coming home was the right thing to do; give myself a reset and get ready for my new life in England.

After the emotional morning we had, I suggest a girl's night out to thank Riley for all that she has done for me. It took a little begging to get her to agree to my plan. She deserves a good time out just as much as I do. I would have been lost without her these past months. She provided me with a place to live, a shoulder to cry on, and offered me her friendship. I have really grown to love this girl like family.

Riley turns on her IPod and One Direction comes on. The sound of Niall's voice courses through my ears.

I yell from the living room, "Riley, are you serious?!"

"Sorry! I didn't mean it for that to happen!"

"Put on PINK! We need some serious girl music in here!"

Next thing I know, So What, is blaring from her bedroom. I take a deep breath and think to myself, That is so much better.

We have 8pm reservations at The Continental Mid-town. I love this place because they have a roof top bar with an awesome view of the city. Plus it is a mere four blocks from the apartment.
