Money doesn't grow on trees

Mother always told me that money doesn't grow on trees I never did believe her until I got into pre-k. People always had those really pretty outfits for the first day of school. What did I have.... I had patched up clothing that was fitted a year ago to fit me. Most of my clothes were had me downs or from the salvation army. So, every year it would be the same people would pick on my for what I wore I could try to stand up for myself and people would put me down all over again. I never would have thought that people could be so meant to others. You know pick on the way that they dress but I happens to all of us. After a wile I started to go home and tell my mother what would happen. Most of the time I would come home with hot tears running down my face at a rapid pace. It would go the same way every day. And then the next day It would follow. This continued until I came to the age of 14. Once I became this age my father had already died at the age of 49. I started to work at Burger King to earn some money for me and my mother to move out of this dusty shack that we call home. She would also braid hair to earn extra pocket money for things that I needed like clothes. My sister Marlena was always trying to be in the limelight she always wanted to be known by everybody and never be left alone. But, if you would have to know anything about my sister is that she is very stubborn and doesn't like to listen to people especially to me. I guess in her eyes she was the shinning star that never knew how to say no. But, its true the only time that my sister would say no is when someone is trying to say she cant do something or when they try to change who she is. In my eyes I come from a strong and beautiful family that never knew how to give up on there dreams even when the going got tuff
