at 2:42 pm, everything seemed to start tumbling downward. tier by tier everything came down, all starting with a few simple words.

"where is yugyeom-ah? we need to talk."

the six looked so confused when their manager came into their dorm, saying these words. six because well, yugyeom didn't seem to be around at the moment. he didn't seem to be around a lot, for that matter.

the career of the seven started crumbling just when they were at the peak of their success. they took this success for granted; which caused to to rapidly come falling down. they hadn't come out with an album in over a year. they had been trying to, of course, because they wanted their career to skyrocket back up. but that just wasn't the case. it was always this or that or some excuse for why something couldn't get done. their parents and friends started shutting them out; disappointed in all the spiral downfall that had happened in the seven's lives.

the seven ended up following their manager to jyp's office, sitting down at a large table that fit them.

"is yugyeom not here?" he says, glancing at each of the boys.

jaebum shakes his head, sighing softly. he had been having to give that answer a lot to that question.

"where is he, then?" jyp says, looking towards the door and then back at the boys sat in front of him.

bambam speaks up, "probably at a club," he says, "he goes to them a lot lately..." he looks down at his lap, his fingers fidgeting.

"figures." jyp says, scoffing.

the door creaks open, a brunette head peering into the door. he looked a little dazed, as if he had just woken up.

"yugyeom, sit down." jyp says, pointing to the open seat next to bambam. the youngest nods and walks in, sitting down where he was told to.

"so, what brings you here so late, yugyeom-ah?" jyp says, lacing his own fingers together and resting his chin on top of them.

"um," yugyeom mutters, looking down at the wooden table. "i was out."

"out where?" jyp says, keeping a firm gaze on him.

"u-um..." yugyeom says, his bottom lip quivering. "o-out with some friends."

"i said where, yugyeom, not who you were with." jyp says sternly, making the youngest bite his lip.

"a... a party..." he says, "at a um... c-club..." he says, barely audible.

"mhm." jyp says, "and that's the fourth time this week, isn't it, yugyeom?"

yugyeom nods, close to tears already.

"and it's only thursday." jyp says, scoffing and shaking his head. "you know you had practice today, right? and yesterday, and the day before, and the day before."

yugyeom stays silent, biting his lip.

"i'd like an answer, yugyeom," he says, "you know you have missed all these practices, right? for the past few months, actually."

yugyeom nods, not having the courage to speak right now.

"and i kept warning you, didn't i? i kept telling you, 'yugyeom-ah, don't do this anymore. it's going to get you into big trouble'. all of the times you'd come home late and miss events and practices, i would tell you that." jyp says, standing up. "you didn't even know that your members were preparing for a comeback."

"this was the last straw, yugyeom." he says, going to a filing cabinet, opening it and fingering through files. "you remember what i told you would happen if you hit the final straw?"

the other members exchange worried glances, not knowing of these conversations between yugyeom and their hyung. they knew all the things that the maknae had been doing, but they didn't know that it would ever come to him hitting the last straw.

yugyeom had tears streaming down his cheeks, trying to silence his sobs as jyp pulled out a folder entitled, 'got7'. he then went through that folder, pulling out a packet of papers. he flipped through the papers, sitting back down and grabbing a pen. he signed a few things on the paper, shaking his head.

"yugyeom-ah, please pack your things. you have until the end of today to be on your way." he says, standing up and sliding a piece of paper across the table to yugyeom. "your contract is now terminated. i'm sorry it had to end this way."

yugyeom was a sobbing mess, shaking his head. "h-hyung please! i promise i'll do better! p-please don't make me leave!"

"i'm sorry, yugyeom. but this is final."

"i-i have no where to go! p-please!" yugyeom says, looking over at his members now.

"hyung," bambam says, looking over at his sobbing best friend. "don't... don't make him leave. we'll make him work. you can't do this."

"i already did, now you six get going. you have practice."

"no!" jackson says, standing up. "it's seven or nothing. seven or never!" he says, pointing to yugyeom. "if yugyeomie's leaving, then i am too. rip my contract into a billion pieces!"

"jackson-ah, don't be ridiculous."

"i'm not being ridiculous. you are. if yugyeom's leaving, i am too."

"me too," bambam says, standing up. "i'm not just gonna watch my best friend leave. not happening."

"guys," jaebum says, trying to settle things down. "just let him go. he did this to himself."

jackson glares at the leader, scoffing. "what kind of leader is just going to sit there and let his member who he's known forever, leave? you can stay here, then, but i'm going."

"i'm coming too," mark says, standing up. "there isn't a point for me to be here if it's not seven. we're called got seven, not got six, not five, not four, not three. let's go." mark says, walking to the door followed by bambam, jackson, and yugyeom. they walk out, making their way back to the dorm to collect their things.

jaebum, jinyoung, and youngjae sat in silence and shock, exchanging glances.

"well, now we can bring back jj project plus youngjae." jyp says, signing off the other's who left's contracts.

"guess so." jaebum says, sighing. "i'm gonna miss them..."

"i'm not," jinyoung says, "because i'm going with them too." he stands up, walking to the door. youngjae stands up and nods, following jinyoung.

"yah, guys. stop this." jaebum says, standing up as well. "they're just being moody. they're gonna come back."

"no," jyp says, "i already terminated their contracts."

"jaebum." jinyoung says, giving him a serious look. "it's seven or nothing." he says, about to walk out the door. "either you can stay here and be a selfish asshole, or come with us." jinyoung and youngjae walk off, leaving jaebum with his thoughts.

he sighs, "i'm sorry." he says, waking to the door. "got7 is my family. i'm not going to leave my family." he walks out the door, catching up with jinyoung and youngjae.
