Addison's POV
Glares. That's still what I get after a year of walking down the halls in my high school. A year of heartbreak. A year of pain. A year of madness. And it was all because I had trust in someone I shouldn't have. I believed all the sweet words he told me. I believed that he actually cared about me. That was my mistake.
He had me wrapped around he finger and made me fall in love with him and I didn't even know it. A year of my life was wasted on someone who made me believe that they cared about me even though they truly didn't.
I never thought I'd feel like that about someone. And I didn't realise that I felt that way until after it was over.
And I hate it because I'm torn between loving and hating him.
I was snapped out of my thought when I got a notification on my phone. I sighed and quickly unlocked my screen to see it was a text from my best friend, Riley.
Riley: Get to my house now, I've got something to tell you
I furrowed my eyebrows and replied with a simply okay. So I put my phone in my pocket and put on some shoes and quickly left the house.

"You're gonna wanna sit down for this" she said in a nervous voice. So I sit down on her bed and look at her with confusion on my face.
"Riley just tell me" I say and she nods hesitantly.
"Okay..well...um..you see...ugh, he's back" she says finally about to get her words out.
"Who?" I said even more confused than I am now.
"Jack. Jack Johnson. You know you're that broke your heart by cheating on you with some whore at a party" she said exasperated and my face dropped.
You see, when he found out that I knew he cheated on me, he basically fled town because you couldn't bare to be without me and pass me in the halls because he just couldn't stand not being with me. Which was all bullshit. He was really popular, so because he left I was the one everyone took it out on and half the school can't stand me for something I had no control over.
"How do you know?" I ask confused.
"Well I kinda..ran into him at the store" she says and my eyes widen.
"What happened?" I said with frustration in my voice.
"Well he's was telling me how great he was doing and how happy he was and then he well asked about you.." she says trailing off and my eyes go wide.
"Oh my god what did you say?" I asked worried and frustrated at the same time.
"I said you had a boyfriend and was happier than you've ever been" she says nervously.
"OH MY GOD WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?" I yell.
"Look I'm sorry, I panicked I didn't know what to say" she says trying to calm me down, I don't say anything and start pacing.
"Uh there's one more thing I need to tell you" she says nervously again.
"What?" I say pinching the bridge of my nose stressed.
"He said he's transferring back to Westside High" she says and I look at her in shock.
"When?" I ask sharply not mean to.
"Next week" she say and I groan.
"What am I gonna do?" I say pacing faster.
"Find a boyfriend by next week" she says and I glare at her.
"I'm serious" she says and I stop pacing.
"How will we do that everyone one in school hates me because of Jack" I say getting angry just thinking about the situation.
"Well there is one person" she says and I look at her furrowing my eyebrows.
"Jordan, dumbass" she says as if it were obvious and I shake my head.
"No absolutely not" I say fast.
"Then what else okay, that's the only other option" she says and I groan.
"But Jordan is one of my best friends and it'll just be so weird" I say and she looks at me exasperated.
"Look there's no other option, either you pretend to have a relationship with Jordan or transfer schools" she say and I actually consider transferring.
"Ugh Call Jordan"

"So why am I hear?" Jordan asks while sitting on Riley's bed.
"We need a favor" Riley says and Jordan nods.
"You need to pretend to be in a relationship with Addison at school" she says and he furrows his eyebrows.
"Riley ran into Jack and told him I had a boyfriend and now he's transferring back to Westside" I say and he goes wide eye like I did.
"Riley why would you do that?" he asks and she sighs.
"I get it I'm an idiot so are you in or not" she asks.
"Of course and you are an idiot" he says and I laugh.
"Thank you" I say tackling him with a hug and Riley joins in.
"I know I know I'm an awesome friend" he says and we all laugh.
How are we gonna go through with this?
