I store my sword on my back, feeling the weight of it almost instantly, and stride into the town of Soleview. It's one of the larger towns in this area or the world. Most of the venders here sell exclusive wears that make is nearly impossible to turn away. I've never been one to be interested in their pleading for money though. I'm more interested in the sights that the town has to offer.
There are people bustling everywhere and I mean everywhere, there is hardly room for me to walk, it must be a busy selling day.
As I walk by, people offer me fruits, scarves, items and foods that I honestly have no use for because I have everything that I need. Each time I'm bothered, I flick my hand at them saying 'I don't want your product, go sell it to someone who cares'. I don't feel bad about it, it's just saying to stop talking to me. Each time they go round to begging again, I move my hand just enough for them to see my blade, telling them that I mean business.
"Hey Missa!"
I turn around to see one of my assistants running toward me. She was a simple blonde with a very pippy attitude. Her large, blue eyes are always captivating me but I swear she wears to much eye liner.
"How many times have I told you not to call me that!" I hiss at her.
She looks at me then realizes what she did. I don't like my assistants calling me by my name, it's just not formal.
"Oh, I'm sorry Ms.Shadow" She grumbles and sighs.
People start to stare, they whisper things amongst themselves. Great, I thought I would be able to go under cover for once. The one thing I hear, the one thing I hate hearing: 'It's the dark knight.'
Who cares that I am powerful, I was a beta tester, it's not like I meant for this to happen.
People start to crowd around me, blocking my path, and yelling things like:' Dark knight can you please train me' or ' Dark knight, join our guild!' Some even throw gold coins at my armored feet, saying: 'Oh come forth and be mine' and ' train me, train me for all you have'.
I ignore it all, instead I focus on the figure coming up from behind me. Their steps seem swift but they need to remember that I gained the sense to know when someone is approaching through the Tamaria Dungeon, a dungeon not many people can conquer, though I did manage to complete it early on in the game. I smile and swing my sword out so that it's just mere inches to their throat ."You know, trying to kill a master of death is not a very wise idea."
I turn my head so that I'm looking at him. He's my height, he has green eyes and Jet black hair, much like mine. He wears a simple brown t-shirt and pants. His sheath for his dagger is hanging limply at his side, his knife is in his gruff hands. He smirks.
"Why would I try to kill you? I was simply trying to shake you up a bit, sister."
He sheaths his dagger and looks at me with the fondness only he could show, then he comes in for a embrace.
"Sebastian, I haven't seen you in so long, shall we go talk over lunch? There must be many stories we need to share."
As we meet, townsfolk are murmuring and whispering. It annoys me that they pay so much attention to me, though it is my price to pay, I guess.
He nods gingerly, his long hair falling in his eyes, and we walk toward the nearest tavern. Walking in, we scan the room for a good seat before we head to sit at the far corner, I raise my hood so that no one notices me. By now, word must have spread that I'm in town so it's bet to keep in the shadows for a while.
"So, Missa, it seems you have the highest level in all of Acsend. A master, the most powerful, or so it's said, the dark knight, how did you manage to get that name?"
In my mind, the story replays, over and over. To most it would seem like a fairytale, but in this case, it's most defiantly not. He dark knight is a the name of death, though I've barley sensed death in my entire time here.
I open my mouth to tell him the enticing story but a hush falls over the tavern.
A hush has never meant anything good. It is normally a sign of displeasure or fear. It happens to me on certain occasions when I walk into a room or area.
I turn around to see the doorway open, with him standing in it. What is it now?
