Blue waters 'fore me burble on their way,
And sparkling diamonds glitter 'neath the sun.
While foamy pearls beneath the moonlight lay,
'Tween dawn and dusk its silver threads are spun.
Poseidon lays his treasure, wild and fair,
Before our feet along the shores of sand.
Ebb and return, his hoard so free, so rare,
E'er will we cover. Children of the land,
With awe we gazed upon these fields of blue,
And, barely plumbing depths of this wild world,
Crossed its expanse and under spread sails flew
Across its miles beneath white clouds unfurled.
Upwards to stars we reach and turn our eyes,
And take for granted great Poseidon's prize.
