Kristen was only 5 when her mom left her on the steps of an orphanage. She didn't know what to do, sp she rang the doorbell and the lady let her in. She asked "What a were you doing on the steps in the rain little girl?" Kristen didn't know what to say, so she was quiet. Then she said "My mom left me here, she told me to knock on the door and she would be back, but when I turned around she was gone." The lady was shocked and just stared out the door. She said "I'm Mrs. Graves and you will be here until some one adopts you, OK?" I didn't know what to say, I just nodded.
