The day i first met you (diall/nemi)

Christmas

Soon enough Christmas had come around most of the school was leaving to go back for the holidays but I was staying at the school since I didn't want to go back home and be with my judgmental family. So I was staying here and I thought I would be alone since everyone else has family to go back to but Niall surprised me last minute saying his parents were going to the states to see Greg and his new wife so it would just be me and Niall in the house for the holidays.


We were standing at the door way wishing everyone a good holiday as they left

I hugged Perrie and Danielle before they left

Niall said buy to the boys that were leaving in a hurry since it was snowing like crazy outside and how their taxi would be leaving soon
Louis had told us the other day that Eleanor had invited him over for the holidays so he would be there for a few days then leave on the 24th so he could be with his family on Christmas

After we wished everyone goodbye the house lady came out with her stuff and looked back at us

"Ok be safe do not do anything stupid lock up after 10 and go to the market before we get back" she said handing me the keys to the house

After she left the house me and Niall went to the living room

" 2 weeks alone what do you want to do first" Niall asked jumping down on the couch

"I don't know" I said sitting down next to him snuggling into his side

"I was thinking you could make us cookies while I make a fort and we watch some Christmas movies" he said excited

We agreed

I went to the kitchen and started making snicker doodle cookies while Niall went around to all the rooms collecting pillows and blankets for the fort

"Ok cookies are ready" I said putting them all in a bowl and grabbing us some drinks before walking back to the living room where Niall had made a huge fort around the TV

I walked in to find him setting up a movie

I put the drinks and cookies down and sat next to him

He finished putting in the movie and we laid down and started watching but we didn't really pay attention we were eating and talking though out most of it

"So what do you plan we do for the next 2 weeks" Niall said

"Well i was thinking we should keep up the fort and then add a Christmas tree in the corner and decorate it with those little paper chains" i said getting carried away then I looked up at Niall no look smitten. He leaned down and kissed me I smiled into the kiss until he pulled away

"What was that for?" I asked

"No reason we just don't get to do that as much while the others are here" he said kissing me again

We kissed for a few minutes until I pulled away this time

"How about tomorrow we go out into town buy that Christmas tree you want" he said

"Really you want to do that?" I asked thinking he wouldn't want to spend the day buying a Christmas tree and decorating it

"Whatever you want as long as you're happy I'm happy" he said kissing me one last time

We watched a few more movies as we laid down Niall's arms wrapped around me as we laid under a blanket. Soon we fell asleep like that

Him holding me and me not wanting him to ever let go

Niall was fast asleep but I was still awake I looked over at him for a while and then I realized why I didn't go home this year

Cause right now instead of being with Niall I would be on a 7 hour plane back to America where I would have no friends or any one that cares

My mother would talk about how I've gotten fatter since the last time I was here

My sister would talk about how horrible my newly turned blue hair looked

My father would ignore me

I would wake up on Christmas morning with not more than 2 present

And would spend the whole break cleaning and cooking

But here with Niall

I would watch movies till 2am

Built forts

Eat cookies


Wake up on Christmas morning with one present from Niall which would mean more than anything my family would've gotten me

And that's what I realized staying at school wasn't about getting away from my family it was about staying here with Niall
