Ingredients

# cabbage 1 head

# boiled rice 250g

# cooked flakes chicken 200g

# chopped onions 100g

# chopped garlic 2 or 3 cloves

# peppers blended, 60ml

# tomato blended, 150ml

# egg 1 or 2

# salt to taste

# seasoning of choice

# veg. Oil 60ml

METHOD

# blanch the fresh cabbage. Leave in boiling water for 1 min. Refresh and drain.

# to make the rollings,  sweat the onion and garlic in oil without Color

# add the parboiled rice, tomato paste, blended tomato and pepper. Stir in the flaked chicken, salt and seasoning. Simmer on top of the stove.

# remove from heat, add the beaten egg, stuff each cabbage leaf with the rice mixture and roll up making sure that the ends are closed

# in a sauce pan make a tomato paste adding salt and seasoning.

# lay the stuffed cabbage leaves in the sauce pan and add the tomato sauce, stock and simmer gently until cooked.

# when cooked, serve in a suitable dish in their cooking liquor I.e the tomato sauce.
