Unfaithful has never left my mind since I finished writing it.
I was happy to move onto other things, sure, but something about Unfaithful always bothered me. Perhaps it was the emptiness? The lack of true closure? The unsteadiness of the plot? Either way, I knew that at some point, I wanted to scale a rewrite of the story.
It will follow a similar path to the original story, with the familiar characters of Lily, Nate, Carter, Georgina, and Julia, although their roles might be slightly different. There will be some big changes, but I think that they'll be good ones.
At this point, I have no intention to take the original down, but I might in the future. This rewrite is not only a way to finally get closure, but a way to lift the cloud that was hanging over my head for so long.
