Why?

Why couldn't he just tell me the truth? Just once?

The tall man in front of Myra stood by a clear window. So clear that you could barely tell it was even there if your reflection didn't stare back at you. The man wore a suit you know, those fancy dress coats and neat ties all the gentlemen seem to wear. Gentleman...yes the businessman in front of Myra looked as such. However, if you knew him gentleman wouldn't be a word to describe him at all. His mossy-green gaze was fixed on the large garden below, filled with arches of flowers and beautiful greenery. "Stop looking at me like that would you?" The man's voice was calm but his expression showed a harsh grimace. Myra immediately looked away towards the door. The door she desperately wanted to walk to, grab the shiny golden knob, and walk out without a word. This didn't happen of course. "Leo...the wedding is canceled...isn't it?" The one Myra called Leo walked briskly away from the large window and towards the table where small teacups could be found with the calming liquid inside. Of course, the tea wouldn't be very enjoyable now since it had gone cold. "No. Its still...It will go on. I'm sure of it." More lies. It was obvious the engagement was another failure. What had happened this time? Myra shook her head and looked to Leo with a bold ocean-blue gaze. "Why do you do that? Why bother lying?" Leo kept adjusting the engagement ring on his finger and shot a piercing glare at Myra. "Get out. You're simply wasting my time with your pointless questions." Just like that, Myra found herself outside the door of Leo's office. With a sigh she walked to her own room while quietly speaking to herself. "Brother...why do you bother lying to me?" Yes, Leo was Myra's brother. They were a wealthy family and were extremely happy as well. Until their parents were both found dead in their rooms. Both hung by a noose. If it wasn't obvious enough, the deaths were murder. However, it had been years and no suspects had been caught or even accused. Now it was just Myra, her brother, and the new house. It was more of a mansion than a house. Recently, Leo had been searching for a bride. Not just any bride, a wealthy bride with a rich fortune. Why? Because their wealth was growing shorter and shorter without their parent's fortune which had been denied to Myra and her brother. It wasn't fair but what was fair nowadays? Unfortunately, Leo had been having awful luck finding a bride. Which was usually his own fault. Leo loved women too much and easily made his bride-to-be jealous and disappointed. Could you blame them? Myra couldn't. So, there they were. Mansion, brother, and sister. Just the way Myra hated it. Her only escape was school. Ouran High School to be exact. It wasn't your average school. Boring desks, books, education, etc. It was...light, colorful, playful, and...joyful. It brought brightness to Myra's life when her home only brought a chilly and lonely darkness.

The next morning, Myra awoke to her blonde-haired brother shouting into his phone. Another fight with his fiance no doubt. It wouldn't be long now, the engagement would soon come to an end. Myra had grown tired of the same cycle for, this had happened many times already. Soon Leo had left the mansion after the few servants in the home had prepared for his departure. Where was he going? Myra already knew. Either to talk with his fiance or...the most likely choice, to a fancy bar with beautiful women to flirt with and he thought she was the disgrace. Soon Myra herself had made her way to the school that she treasured. A few smiles to the servants and waves of farewell before walking to the academy. Yes, walking. Leo was using the family limo so, there wasn't really anything else Myra could do. After all, they were trying to make their current wealth that they received before the death of their parents last as long as possible. Myra's dim blue eyes seemed to light up with excited radiance as the academy came into view. It wasn't far from her shadowy mansion, not at all. Her long black hair trailed down past her shoulder-blades in neat curls. "Myra! You're still walking here? Jeez, that's a bit bold for a princess!" Celestia, golden-blonde pigtails, hazel colored eyes, and the best friend anyone could ask for. She was full of laughter and happiness. She could make you smile just by smiling herself. "I know...but its really not all that bad! Its actually...relaxing." Celestia nodded and began walking inside the school alongside Myra. "Did you hear? The Host Club has a new member!" Myra kept quiet for a few moments. Ah, Ouran's Host Club. A group of boys who entertain princesses with charms and flirtatious compliments. Myra had only heard of it from Celestia. It wasn't that she disliked the idea of a Host Club but from the sound of it, it reminded her of Leo. Flirting with every girl who enters the same room? Myra couldn't understand the fun in it. However, she wouldn't rain on Celestia's parade. "Oh? A new host?" "Yup!" Celestia grinned and stepped in front of Myra with a dramatic twirl which made her yellow school uniform dress twirl as well. "and guess what! I hear its a commoner! Haruhi Fujioka!" That caught Myra's interest. "A....commoner?" Celestia nodded. "Uh-huh! I wanna go see after school! But..." The blond girl pouted at Myra slightly. "It wouldn't be nearly as fun to see without you there. Will you please go? Just this once?" No. That's what Myra usually would've replied immediately. But this was her best friend and it was one time. Just once. With a hesitant tone of voice Myra nodded with a slight smile. "Alright. Just this once." Celestia's smile dazzled everyone around her. It was so bright and full of joy. "Alright! Its a promise! After school, we're going to see The Host Club!"
