Chapter 19: Keep Up

Start from the beginning

"Yeah but, come on. She's got a point." Alex said, nodding in my direction,

"Exactly!" I exclaimed, "And if you think about it, he hadn't been heard about in the news since ... Since before we began school last year! At least! Until now! No one has called a sighting, he hasn't come after Harry, no break-ins. People have gone missing before!"

"I'm sure Mum said it started with disappearances before." Alex interjected,

"So therefore, he's obviously not going to be--"

"I can't believe we've started her off." I heard Fred sigh as my opinion continued to roll off my tongue,

"No going back now, bro." George shrugged,

"And as for one of them being Sirius' cousin! Who was it, Bellatrix? Huh! That's not evidence! That's not a reason to blame him! Alex's mother is his cousin too, but she isn't at all evil! She has a cold, not is cold! It's her daughter who's the spawn of Satan, not her!"

"I'm going to do this revision." I told the DADA textbook that was sat in front of me. I had realised yesterday evening Christmas was officially over, and now I was suppose to be the nicer lionhearted girl I was before. The better person. The one that didn't pick fights because they're so boring and predictable. Correct? Yes. And I also needed to start revising. Right this second. At 4.02am. It had to be done,

"Come on." Alex said, not looking up from her potions textbook and note parchments, "Open it up."

"I can't do it." I told her, still staring at the book.

"Don't give up, come on Lottie." Alex was now scratching something onto another new piece of parchment, "You won't be a healer if you don't do it."

"Right ... I'm doing it ..." I said confidently, then slowly opened the book.

I stared at the pile of notes in front of me, and then at the clock. 11.37. I let my head fall onto the table and let out an inaudible groan, "No! Come on! Transfiguration in thirteen minutes!"

"But that means--"

"Yes! Come on! Get dressed!" Alex said, getting up easily and ushering me to the dorms. I heaved myself across the room to my trunk, to the bathroom, putting my clothes on, preparing my face, brushing my teeth and then back into the common room where Alex hung my bag over my body and pulled majority of my weight to McGonagall's classroom. When we got there, she threw me into the seat and sat down like it was normal,

"Have you being ... making her revise?" I heard McGongall ask,

"If I don't, no one will." Alex said, unpacking her then my bag. I sat through Transfiguration not having any idea what was going on, and then ended up learning/revising it from seven until eleven that night. I was up again at half past four with Alex to do potions, and I couldn't keep my eyes open to see six o'clock,

"Alex ... Alex you're going to ... kill me." I managed to eventually tell her due to my eyelids continuously dropping shut and me being almost unable to open them again,

"It's being two days."

"Urrrrrrrrgghh."

"If you start now, there will be less to do later."
