Lunas pov..
I vexedly pushed over an expensive glass vase as I stormed up to my room
I don't even know what came over me but I found myself destroying everything in sight
Somehow my mom seemed to have pushed all of my buttons at once
"Luna get down here right damn now !" She yelled after me, but I continued to jog up the stairs
Purposely disobeying her command
I forcefully pushed open my door and immediately went to my closet to retrieve my suit case
I don't know where I was headed but I had to get the hell out of there
"Luna-Chanel. I will not let you run my house as if you pay the bills ." She ranted but I continued smashing endless outfits into my bag
I really couldn't understand her logic..how does telling her what I want in my future mean I'm trying to run her home
"I refuse to let you ruin my life with all of this pressure to swim." I harshly said
"This is what you wanted!" She yelled
"No mom. This is what you wanted. You're trying to live your life through me."
My eyes stung and tears rimmed my eyelids but I dared not to let one of them fall
"All of these years of multiple comeptitions and medals and you're giving up on me now?" She questioned
"I didn't want any of it..I did it for you mom because you forced me to, you never once asked what I wanted to do you just threw me into swimming without my consent."
I grabbed my bag and tossed it over my shoulder, walking towards the door
"Luna ..please." she spoke softly, as she blocked my way
I looked down not wanting to meet her tear filled eyes with mine
"Move mom..just let me leave."
She reached her arm out to caress my cheek but I turned away
"I quit." Was the last thing I said before moving to the side of her

"And you just left?" Nicole questioned me taking a sip of her juice
"Yeah..it's no use in me doing something that I don't wanna do."
For years I had been saying how I didn't want to swim but my mother kept pushing me to do so
It was only a matter of time before something like this happened anyway
"I see what you mean." She said softly
"Hey you guys!" Natalie shouted barging into the room
How could her staying a week extend to her staying for months
I didn't say a word..I just intently stared at her
"Someone woke up on the wrong side I see." She mumbled
"What do you want Natalie?" Nicole questioned
"I just came to say hello..no need to be rude."

Augusts pov..
"She what nie'?" I questioned Mrs. Williams
"She quit on me August..what did I do wrong?" She pleaded
I had no words to say..I honestly felt super bad for her, but in a way she was a little bit in tha' wrong
I sighed, tightly clutchin' my phone in my hand
"Maybe she just needs some time to think..trust me she'll come back around love."
Tha' line went silent but soon it was overcome by sniffling and mumbling
She was crying again
It really hurt my heart to hear her cry like that
"Mrs. Williams ..gimme' Luna's numba', ima' talk tah' ha."
"I-it's 562-983-2343." She spoke through broken words
"Thank you..I'll get back witchu' lata' Mrs.Williams." and with that I ended the call
I instantly dialed Luna's number needing tah' get tah' tha' bottom 'a all 'a this
"..Hello?" Ha sweet voice traveled through the phone
"Y-yeah..Luna, this Aug."
"August? How'd you get my number?..my mom told you?"
"Yeah..what's goin' on..you really gone quit?" I questioned scratchin' the back 'a my neck
I really prayed she would say 'no'
"Yes.."
Damnit..
"You sho'?..I mean, you've greatly improved over the previous months.."
"I'm sure August." She spoke sternly
"Who is that?" I heard somebody mumble in the background
"It's August Nicole."
I heard a loud squeal and a few giggles befo' Luna returned back to the phone
"Well..I've gotta go August, see you around sometime?"
"Wait..where you gone be stayin'?" I somewhat blurted
I didn't want her livin' on tha' street a' nothin'
"I don't know..Nicole's for a few days..maybe get a room."
A room? That didn't sit right with me
"Why'd you ask?" She questioned kickin' me outta my thoughts
"I-I was just wonderin' .."
"Well..I've gotta go all talk to you later."

Befo' I could reply a loud click was heard and I knew she had hung up..
I sighed, putting my phone down beside me and tried tah' drift tah' sleep
