Ch.1 Welcome Darcy

"Mom!" I yelled from the couch.

"Yes Taylor?" She asked coming into the room.

"Can you please help me up? I need to go to the bathroom."

"You're that lazy that you can't even get up?" My brother, Austin, said.

"Why don't you try being 9 months pregnant and the size of a watermelon?" I told him.

"Okay enough." Mom said helping me up. I steadied myself and went to walk when water ran down my leg.

"Did you just pee yourself?!" Austin asked laughing.

"I don't think that's pee." My mom said getting concerned. I felt a sharp pain shoot through my stomach and down my legs.

"Ahh!" I screamed bending over in pain.

"Austin go get the car now!" My mom yelled coming over to me. He ran out and my mom sat me down. Throwing shoes on my feet, she kept telling me to breathe. The pain slowly vanished and I sighed.

"Austin's out front c'mon lets go." She said helping me up once more. Grabbing the bag I had packed a month ago, we walked outside. Mom helped me into the car and we drove to the hospital. We got there in about 10 minutes from Austin's panicked driving. They helped me inside and a nurse took us a to a room.

"Get changed and comfortable, the doctor will be in shortly." She instructed me. I quickly got changed and sat on the bed. The pain came once more and I gasped from the pressure. My mom held my hand, letting me squeeze hers when I needed to. The doctor came in and checked me.

"Well this baby is in a hurry." He told me.

"What?" I asked him.

"Are you ready to see your baby?" He asked me.

"No! It can't be time yet! I'm not ready!" I yelled in pain.

"Taylor, look. It's time and you're more than ready." Mom said. I looked at her and nodded my head agreeing.

"Taylor you're almost there!" The nurse told me.

"One more push and you can see your baby!" They instructed me. I pushed once more getting excited. I was ready to see my baby after 9 months. 9 long months not knowing if it was a girl or boy.

"It's a girl!" The doctor exclaimed laying the baby on my stomach. I looked at her with tears in my eyes. A cry pierced the room and the nurses soon took her away to clean her off.

"You did it." My mom told me with tears streaming down her face.

"Mom please don't cry." I told her.

"My baby just had a baby!" She said crying more.

The nurses brought back my baby and I held her close to me. She was beautiful. Small and fragile. Her eyes were blue, like crystals. Her hair was dark blonde, almost brown. She had a few curls with the small amount of hair she had. I loved her so much, even after just meeting her. She was something me and Harry made. A part of us. She wrapped her small hand around my finger before her eyes fluttered shut.

"What are you going to name her sis?" Austin asked.

"Darcy." I told him.

"Why Darcy? Harry isn't with you anymore. He doesn't even know he has a daughter. You can have any name in the world and you choose Darcy?" He asked confused.

"I know we aren't together anymore, but, there's a part of me that knows that her name should be Darcy." I told him looking down at my daughter.

"You need to get some rest now." My mom instructed me. I sighed kissing the top of Darcy's head before handing her off to my mother, falling into sleep.
