Gaara's Neko Chapter 9

I haven’t cried since I was stabbed at two.

Temari’s standing a foot away.

“Today we have the first part of the chunin exams.”

“Yes, miss.”

I will stay home and make lunch for them.

Kankuro stretches from his bed, his hair is all messed up.

I frown at him.

“What is it, Kitten?”

“Your hair, master.”

“Hm?  Oh, I need to fix it?”

“Hai.”

“You do it, I’m too tired.”

I flushed.

For some reason, I couldn’t tell him it was a bad idea.

Temari stepped in, thankfully.

“Go do it yourself, you lazy ass!”

Kankuro started grumbling.

Temari grabbed my hand and pulled me outside.

“What was wrong, Sweetie?”

“It would be improper…”

“Hm?”

“It would imply that I was ah… his um… mate.”

She gaped at me for a minute, before cracking up laughing.

“S-sweetie!  Are you s-serious?”

I nodded meekly.

She ruffled my hair.

“Don’t worry, that’s not what he meant, sweetie.”

She led the way inside.

“Go make breakfast, okay?”

I nod, glad to have lost the subject.

It wasn’t necessarily embarrassing, but it was certainly awkward.

I made ramen, and refused to look anyone in the eyes.

Gaara was watching me.

I imagine he knew what was said.

After all, he is Gaara.

They get ready and leave, Temari calling back to be careful.

I nod, but I need to go buy some food.

There were also some other things necessary for the next week that I wasn’t in Suna.

Er… Female nekos are like cats…

They don’t have… ahem… periods…

They ah… go through erm… heat…

And they are extremely eh… unpleasant to be around during that time…

So I’ll have to be boarded up for the week.

And I’ll need to treat the walls with something you can only get here.

It makes the walls soundproof for up to a month.

I’ll need a lock on the door from the outside.

I hope they believe me when I say not to open the door.

After the first few days without contact, I start growing fur and loosing humanity.

So I go outside, locking the door behind me.
