I have a friend

I have a friend who smile on the outside while crying on the inside. She picks up beautiful things and pictures them in their dark and decaying form while contemplating whether she deserves to live or defy god in the only way humans really can.

She sits alone in her bedroom at night and wrestles with her inner demons, screaming for them to leave her and let her be at peace again. Alas, they never leave and her screams are reduced to a mere whimper that even a dog couldn't hear.

She thinks nobody cares about her and that everyone leaves. She looks at her reflection in utter disgust and horror as she questions god on why he made her look this way.

She thinks that she is a pathetic human being who can't do anything to benefit her or anyone else around her. She thinks that she can only rely on other because simply, she doesn't think she can do anything. She is wrong.

I have a friend who saved my life. She made me realise that there are ups and downs in life and if there wasn't then, what would life really be? It would be boring and unoriginal. We needs these downs so we can prove to those who look down upon us that we can defy even the greatest challenges The Lord sets in front of us.

I have a friend who hates her life and frankly, I hate life too.
