The Bodyguard

Chapter II

II

The day went by pretty fast, my classes were easy after lunch. I met up with the girls after school in the parking lot, they were coming over since it was Friday.

When we pulled up to my house, but something seemed unusual. My fathers car isn't here, and he's usually home at this time on Friday.

As we make our way inside after I unlocked the door, Jane took off her wig and let her thick, red hair down, then Brianna let her hair go after taking off her wig and letting her brunette hair down. Thea let her blonde hair out of her beanie and Iyat took off her wig letting her thick, brown hair down. As they were getting themselves comfortable I look around the house and I noticed that no one was home. And not just my family but their stuff as well.

I can't believe this is happening, not now. The girls aren't ready.

I'm not ready.

Before I can even say something to the girls, I got a call, please don't let it be them..please.

"PRIVATE" the caller ID read. I looked at the girls, and they just knew. They smiled and gathered around me to comfort me before I answered the call.

"Yes." I answered with my real accent.

"It's time, Isabelle." A man's voice, who sounded a lot like my father, answered.

Beep...

Beep...

Beep...

The line went blank and before I could turn around to say something to the girls, there was a knock on the door.

Breath Bella, just breath.

The girls made there way upstairs in

case it was someone we knew.

I opened the door and a boy that seemed my age, maybe even older by a little, smiled. His dark, brown eyes were even smiling at me. His dimples were huge to the point that it made him seem younger in a way. His light, brown skin looked amazing in that suit, and his tall and muscular figure made the suit look even better. 

"Yes?" I said, not knowing why I was  smiling.

Why am I smiling...

"Princess Isabelle Janet Kane," he said with a smile "My name is Noah and I will be your bodyguard from here on out, the boys behind me are your maidens bodyguards" he said while pointing his index finger over his shoulder.

I didn't even notice the boys behind him.

"Well, please come in, you and your fellow..body um friends..?" I said not knowing what to call the rest of the bodyguards.

"Princess Isabelle-"

"Please call me Bella"I said cutting him off.

"Alright" he said while his lips formed into a cute smile," Bella your family is arriving at the palace as we speak, we need to get you and your maidens on the jet in two hours. So please have your maidens be ready and we will leave for the airport as soon as possible." He said trying to be serious but not being able to for some odd reason.

"Wait, why? I thought I had to finish my senior year, why am I leaving now?"

"Well princ...Bella! Your alliance with Britain is not..well.. It's not going well. And the queen of England wants you to be wed to her son in less then a month..." He said not completing his sentence, he looked at me and somehow I think he knew how I felt. "Bella, are you alright? Do you need water" he said talking really fast and hovering his hand around me as if he would catch me as I was going to fall.

I'm not ready for this. I don't want to go my heart was thumping.
Suck it up Bella.
You have a duty.
A duty to your country...to your people.
For being an ass, my brain was right.

"I'm fine, my friends and I will be getting ready, goodbye now. " I shut the door leaving him with a smile that turned into a frown. I turned to give my friends the news, but before I could I saw them all around me, smiling at me to comfort me. Iyat ran up to me and hugged me as tight as possible. I broke the hug off and looked at them

"We're leaving In two hours, say goodbye to your families,friends, and pack your bags, meet me here in an hour and a half." I said sounding like a mother.

"What should we tell them?" Jane said with a confused tone. I love Janes face. It's just so beautiful structured. Her jaw line is almost a replica of Angelina Jolie's.

"Yeah, we can't just tell them that we're going back to the royal palace with our princess" Thea said trying to make the best of every situation as usual.

"Just tell them that your going to boarding school for the rest of the year" I said trying to comfort them. They all nodded. "Now go and be ready in two hours, I want you all to be here before 7." 

I felt like myself when I talk in my own dialect, it sucks covering it up all the time. I felt like a princess, like I'm commanding already. I felt bad that the girls had to go through this. They are all so happy here, and I feel horrible dragging them around with all my problems. 

They all hugged me and headed for the door, " Brianna, stay a minute" I said looking at her.

" I'm so sorry that this is happening, but you know I have no control over this, but I have control over one thing, my guest. " I said while going into my purse and getting my checkbook out, I pulled out a black pen from the outside zipper of my purse and I started writing, $ 2-0-0-0...

"What are you doing Bella?!" Brianna said with a worried voice.

"Give this to Brandon, tell him to book a flight after graduation, and tell him we have a room ready for him in the palace" I said smiling. She hugged me for so long,

"Thank you so much Bella, I don't know what to say, thank you. You're the greatest friend in the world you know that?" she said smiling.

"Goooo now, get ready!" I yelled!

She started laughing and running to the door still turning around every couple steps to thank me.

I don't even know what to feel, before I headed upstairs to get ready I took off my wig letting my brown hair down, and taking off my brown contacts letting my now tearing up blue eyes to breathe. Then before I started heading up to my room, someone knocked on the door.

Ugghhhhh why does everyone decide to show up at the worse times.

I opened the door and looked up.

"I thought you might need help" he said with a huge smile.

God that smile is just insane. Where do you ever find a smile like tha...wait what am I saying?

"I mean, you are my bodyguard, so please come in, Noah" I said gesturing my hands for him to come inside.
