With a sharp pain in my head, I sat up bewildered and confused. I had no idea where I was or how I'd got here. The air around me felt icy and sent shivers running through body. Looking up, I blinked through squinted eyes. The sun shone down excited through the trees that towered above me. This told me it was around mid-day. Standing up I felt a bit uneasy, I wiped leaves and dirt from the back of my jeans and brushed off my sleeves. Standing here would be no good, I had to find a way out of here.
Looking around, all I saw was a thick unfamiliar woods that surrounded me for as far as I could see. It all looked exactly the same. I was starting to give up hope of getting out before dark.
As I walked aimlessly, all I could feel was the temperature dropping lower and lower. It was getting increasingly difficult to stop my body from shivering. I had to find a way out of here or at least some kind of shelter, or any hope of making it through would be very slim.
Staggering through the fallen leaves, I kept an eye on the position of sun which seemed to be setting quickly. After walking for what felt like a day, I stumbled across a small run down wooden shed. It wasn't much to look at but it would have to do. Looking around cautiously, I wondered closer, hoping to find an unlocked door or at least a way to break in. Surely someone must own land near by but as suspected I found no sign of life anywhere. Peaking through the window, the shed looked old, like it had seen far better days. The Thick wood had started to rot from what seemed like years of standing there. Dust seemed to be a fond friend of anything that sat inside. However, the ground that surrounded was clear. as though leaves had been cleared away very recently, not too long ago at all, which told me this place wasn't abandoned. Perhaps if I waited patiently enough, the owner would show, and maybe then I could get out of this place once and for all,or maybe they would be a dangerous psychopath. It was a risk I'd have to take.
With the sun beginning to fade behind the trees, the forest became eerie. Wind winding down to create an uncomfortable silence surrounded, making me restless and uncomfortable. I waited long enough to no longer be able to see further than a few feet ahead of me. I had no plan of returning to my unfamiliar surroundings. At this moment in time I had no choice but to take a chance and break in and attempt to keep warm or I would slowly freeze to death in the now below 0 temperature that bit at my skin.I only hoped someone would show up soon.
As I stepped closer towards the door, i couldn't help but feel nervous. Pushing hard against the door, I found myself sighing with relief as it swung open, greeted by a thick layer of dust that flew through the air created by the opening of the door. Waving it away with a blind hand, I stared cautiously into the darkness. nervously stepping in blind hope, I felt around for some kind of light. To my surprise I found what seemed to be a switch. I found myself smiling with relief as the room flickered to life.
Looking around, I found myself surround by photographs, trophy's and medals. Who ever This person was, they were certainly proud. I wondered further in, closing the door behind me. Taking in my surroundings. I couldn't help but notice that in most of the photo's was a man, mid-twenties maybe, with short brown shabby hair that brushed lightly against his forehead. His eyes a dark shade of brown and skin tanned and smooth. Something seemed extremely familiar about him but I couldn't place him, but I hadn't been able place anything since waking up.
Next to him stood a female. She was younger, but not by much. Her hair long and golden blonde. A friendly smile always lighting up her face. Eyes of crystal blue, skin pale, soft looking and beautiful. I couldn't help but wonder what relationship the had to one another. siblings? partners? close friend of some sort? Either way they certainly seemed to enjoy the company they had to offer each other.
I wished with everything I could remember who I was, where I came from, but it was a faded blur. I really hoped it returned soon.
