Confused, Chapter One

Confused.

Your name is Kara Miguel. No, you're not Mexican, you're Australian. I'm your narrator, for the first chapter, D.P. This story, your story will unravel how you got tangled up with the wrong person. Who, you ask? Troye Sivan, who else? The internet will love you. Who will stay by your side through it all?

Chapter One, D.P.'s POV

You are best friends with Tyler Oakley, and Zoe Sugg for life. You never wanted to steal their thunder, so you didn't dare upload your own YouTube video. But, you love the camera, you connect with it. You've been friends with Tyler since the beginning. You met in elementary school. He was your reading buddy, of course. Right now, you're 20, and he's 26. You've know Zoe for the past five years, because your mums' just became quite the friends. Since Tyler came out, and his dad flipped, your relationship could never be stronger. You both felt comfortable talking to each other about guys.

You kept Zoe's secret love with Alfie, well, that is until that secret was spilled. Even though the age difference, Tyler and Zoe both feel you're really mature. Alfie is three years younger than Zoe, only 25. You're used to being with older people, being the youngest of your three siblings, Logan, Milly, and Samantha. You've finally made the decision to make a video. Tyler and Zoe said you shouldn't need their permission. They would love to collab one time, too! You borrow Zoe's lighting, and set up your camera.

You sit in front of your wall of band posters, and cute sayings that you made when you were twelve. You even came up with your own catch-raise. "Hello, World Wide Web! This is Kara Miguel, ready to make your day. This is my first video, so I thought it would be appropriate to answer some questions from my friends from social media. "Austin asks 'What is your favourite music artist/band?' Good question, Austin. I am a die-hard Paramore and CTE fan, one hundred percent," Kara says, ducking out of the way to let the camera catch the Paramore and Crown the Empire sayings and posters behind her.

"Those two are favourites, but I do love other music too. Bach, Mozart, Justin Timberlake, 21 Pilots, Sam Smith, Diplo, Suicide Silence, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, X Ambassadors, Eminem, etc."

"My sister, Milly asked 'Who is your OTP?' I really wonder why she asked this, and it almost makes me laugh. I'm in love with the idea of Tronnor. Sorry, Tyler, I love you, but I've joined the dark side," you joked. "Oh, Tyler just asked me on Twitter, 'Who are your best friends?' He's so silly, do you agree? Most of you have no idea who I am, do not see my tweets or vines, so I'll catch you up. I've been friends with Tyler all of my life, and even survived with him through his coming out process. He's absolutely my best friend. My other best friend would be Zoe Sugg. I met her through my mum and Tyler, and from then, we've been the best of friends too," Kara answered.

After answering more questions about yourself, you answer the last one, and a surprising one, too. "Troye Sivan tweets, 'Kara, will you collab with me?'" You smile brightly. You love watching Troye Sivan, and even though Tyler and him are close, you've never really talked. You've seen him at a couple of parties, okay, but never had a really good conversation.

He made you feel nervous, and you don't get nervous. Face it: there are some gays that you think of like brothers, and the other type of gays you want to marry. Troye happened to be that type of gay to you. You thought when he sung, he was the most handsome and baddest guy on earth. Tyler thought your crush was cute, and never thought anything of it. Not until the video, that is. "Of course, Troye."
