I finally woke up from my slumber when i noticed that i wasn't in my room, but in the schools clinic. I've only been here once, when me and mom were checking out the school and even then i could remember the white room, filled with the smell of disinfected and bleach. Once i recognized the room a huge headache erupted from my forehead. What the hell happened? I moved my hands towards my forehead and felt a bump. GOD!! It felt huge!! I hope it looked different then it felt. I was starting to get up from the bed when a nurse came in. She saw what i attended to do, so she came as fast as she could to lay me back. Once that was settled i was bombarding her with questions, "What happened? How did i get here? Why do i have a mountain on my forehead?" I asked. She just rolled her eyes "You got hit with a football in gym, a boy came in as fast as he could with you in his arms and settled you down in here. And that's not a mountain on your forehead, its more like..." she paused trying to find the right word. "Its more like a boulder. But don't worry, ill get you some ice on that and i should stop swelling in no time" WOW!! that was just great, having a nurse tell you that you have a boulder on your forehead. She left the room immediately when she saw the worry on my face. I settled back down, my head hitting the pillow wondering who brought me in when i saw Aaron strolling in the room. "Hey you okay?" he asked concern lacing his voice. "Yeah." i told him facing him. His eyes widened and he had sucked in a bunch of air that was now puffed up his cheeks. I was curios as to why he had that face, until my forehead reminded me that i had a "Boulder" on my face. "Is it that bad?" I asked him. He was at lost for words.it seemed like forever when he finally puffed out the air he saved inside his mouth. He sighed deeply and furrowed his eyebrows. "I think i need a minute" he told me. "C'mon, its not that bad, is it..? Just tell me!!!" i yelled. Out of nowhere he starts laughing at me. 'He is Bipolar or something' i thought to myself. he didn't stop laughing until the nurse came in with my ice pack. but once she left, he immediately started laughing again. I huffed out a loud sigh, to make him understand how annoyed i was getting. By the time he finished his little laugh party, he had tears streaming down his face. "How did you get that HUGE bump on your face?" He asked me, surprising me that he could talk coherently. "I got hit on the head with a football. Satisfied?" I answered simply. He heard the way of my tone going to anger and annoyance. He became serious once and for all. "I was just kidding. C'mon you cant be mad at me for trying to lighten the mood" he said. "Yeah, you really enlightened me about the huge bump on my forehead" i told him. He came next to me, and sat down next to the chair that was near the bed. "You cant be mad at me and you know it" he told me, doing his signature smirk. I couldn't help my smile from showing. I was still holding up the ice bag when the nurse came in saying that i was able to go. If there is any problems that i should just go home and rest. I didn't feel like it, i was going to miss chorus if we didn't hurry up. I was surprised when the nurse had my clothes and backpack. Maybe whoever left me here bought them with me. I quickly changed back and Aaron and i were currently walking the hallways toward the chorus room when he spoke up. "Are you still mad at me?" he asked with that smirk. "I don't think so." I told him unsure. He just smiled at me. I couldn't be mad at him. He was basically my first friend here. "No. I'm not mad anymore" i told him, sure of my answer. He just hissed out a 'yesss..' under his breathe. I just giggled. We were in front of the door and opened it and once that all happened everybody was staring at me and Aaron. "Ah. The new student Audrey Richardson. Your mom was very informative about you" The chorus teacher told me. She had long, brown hair and she was tall and very pretty. She turned to Aaron and said "You can go to your S-A-T-B seat now Aaron" She basically said that with a wink. Damn. She is really desperate. Aaron had no choice but leave me in the middle of the room, in front of everyone. "Miss. Richardson, you interrupted me from roll cal. Take a seat her, next to me and ill put you on the spot in a moment." she sat next to the piano and she made me sit down on the piano bench. I just stared at the keys. Piano is one of my favorite instrument to play. My mom raised me with music by my side. I had taken piano lessons, violin lessons and singing lessons. I was currently learning dance and i was pretty good at it. I was snapped back from my reverie when i heard the name "Xavier Evans" being called out. I looked up to see him staring at me with a smile playing on his lips. He sat one seat away from Aaron. Wow. Yet they aren't even friends. I heard my name being called out. The chorus teacher, Mrs. Murphy, was calling to me. "Yes?" I asked her. "Your mother has told me a lot about you. She says you can sing. I would like you to sing a song. we are preparing for a concert that's around the corner. You can sing any song you want." She told me, signaling me to go on. I chose one of my favorites. Adele Rolling in the Deep. I began. Nervous, i cleared my throat. 'Damn it mom! Again?' i thought
