TWELVE|The Breakup.

"Hola princessa. Did Ivy call you?..." That was the first thing Aidan said to me.

"Uhhh,.No...why do you ask?.."

He shrugged. "Just wanted to know. I'm sure she'll call anyway. She's supposed to.."

I was getting suspicious. Something's definitely going on.

"Is everything alright Martinez?.."

Aidan arched a brow,.."Yes. Everything's cool. Why would things  'not be alright'?..."

I searched for his eyes but he wouldn't look at me. Then I thought of calling Ivy.

"I think I should call Ivy...."

"No!..." Aidan said hastily,..

"I mean,..you should wait for her to call. You don't wanna ruin the surprise...."

Surprise?!

What surprise?!

I don't trust this boy one bit. But I'll wait anyway. It had better be good.

"Okay. I'll wait. Goodnight.."

I dropped my curtains and got ready for bed. I don't really think Ivy would still call. It was past ten already. But I still hoped.

I woke up to the sound of my phone, ringing underneath my pillow. I checked the time and it was 2:30 in the morning.

Ivy's name was flashing on the screen. I quickly answered and pressed the phone to my ear.

"Ivy, I was worried sick about you. 'Been waiting for your call all night. Is everything alright?..."

I needed to know how she is. I've been worried since they left. Plus, Aidan was saying all sorts of things.

"...what's the surprise Aidan was talking about?..." I asked again, not giving her the chance to speak. And when finally stopped talking, I heard Ivy's sniffles and sobs.

Ivy was crying.

What the hell made her cry? She was happy about their date and now this?
"Ivy will you stop sobbing and tell me what happened....did Aidan do something?..."

Her voice was shaking as she spoke....

"Tess,...Aidan,..he...he...

I was impatient. I don't wanna believe what I'm thinking.

"He did what?!..." I shouted. I know I'm not supposed to, but she had to stop crying over someone who's not worth it and tell me what he has done exactly.

"....Aidan broke up with me Tess!..." She said finally.

I knew it. I've always known this would happen. Now I get why I was restless all the time Ivy was out with him.

"He did what?!,...what exactly happened?...."

"You see, we had dinner first at this small diner close to the park. Then we went to Asher's house and watched a movie. He was all over me. You'll never guess he'd do this to me....." Ivy paused.,...

"Then....?" I urged her to continue,...

"...we made out....

I knew it will get to this!

.....then he took me home. That's when it happened. He looked straight to my face and told me everything's over. He said so many horrible things Tess,...." And she started crying again.

I was speechless. All I could think of was ways I could make Aidan pay for what he's done. But right now, I needed to comfort my best friend.

"Hush Ivy, it's okay. You've shed enough tears already,..."

"You don't understand. I really loved him Tess, and he said I was stupid to think that he'd treat me any different from the other girls. This is all my fault you know. I should've listened to you...."

"Don't  blame yourself Ivy. And I don't want to know what he said. He's the stupid one anyway. You've been crying for so long now and that's enough. You go to sleep now, and tomorrow, I promise,..we'll think of a way to make him pay..."

Ivy stopped crying. "There's Nothing we can do that'll hurt him as much as he did me Tess,..."

"..trust me on this, we'll think of something. Just don't think about it this night and have a good night's sleep. Eat as much ice cream as you want but don't cry any more okay?...."

I could only imagine Ivy nodding like an obedient child...."okay,..."

"You have to promise Ivy,..."

"I promise. Thanks Tess"

I hung up after that. I didn't go back to sleep. If i'm to come up with something that'll make him regret his actions. I'll have to start thinking now.

If I never really hated him, i'm sure I do now.
