Once there was a girl. She had blonde hair that reached about mid-back and she had dyed the tips a dark purple. It was styled in a way that you would call emo or scene. She had these sparkling blue eyes that were so full of life and hope, you would have never guessed what she was going through. She had this signature style that is pretty popular, but she made it hers. She wore flannels, be it buttoned up, unbuttoned with a band tee underneath, or tied around her waist. She typically wore black skinny jeans and black combat boots along with the flannels. She had soft features. She was small and frail looking, but curvy. Her smile, though it was slighly crooked, it lit up the room. She was a free spirit, she did what she wanted when she wanted and she didn't let anyone tell her no. She livied like her days were numbered and hee last was only the next. To say the least, she ws beautiful, a lot of people's dream girl. She certainly was mine...

This is our story.

-_-_-_-_-_-

We met in the summer after I graduated. I was taking photos at the beach when a girl ran into me, sending me falling and my very expensive camera flying. I landed on top of her.

"Oh my god, I'm so, so sorry," The girl panicked, scrambling out from under me and stood up. She started looking for something. "Your camera! Where's your camera?!"

I got up and started looking with her, muttering about how long I saved up for it. We were looking for five minutes before I heard a whimper followed by splashing. I looked up and saw the girl in the ocean picking something up. My camera.

"I am really sorry, how much was it, I will pay to buy you a new one?"

"Unless you have $157 dollars, I don't think you can," I said, taking the camera from her. I put it in my bag and looked up at her when I heard sniffles. She was crying. "It's fine. It really is. I have a polaroid in my hotel room. If you wait here, I will be back and show you."

"R-really," the girl asked. She wiped at her eyes and I nodded. "I will be right here, you have ten minutes. I'm counting. Go."

"Shit." I ran off to the hotel that was right by the beach an went to my room, which was on the tenth floor. It took about three minutes by elevator to get up there. I unlocked the door quickly and grabbed the polaroid. When I came back to the spot, I was out of breath.

"You were twenty-one seconds late, but it's okay, maybe next time," the girl smiled and looked at my polaroid. "Still, let me buy you lunch."

"Alright, but tell me your name first," I agreed.

"Saraphina Jones, graduating class of 2016."

"Kian Tyler, graduating class of 1803."

"You're kidding, right," Saraphina asked and I laughed.

"You caught me." I smiled. "Class of 2016."

"Good. Now, Mo's?"

"Sure."

We walked to Mo's, a seafood restraunt on the coast of Oregon. There's, like, five of them. Saraphina and I just talked about school, college, friends. It got a bit more personal in the middle of the meal as we started to talk about our family and ourselves. Saraphina still lived with her dad, who was her last family member, so she could never leave him. Then she told me she was a model. I asked to take pictures and she agreed, handing me her card. It had her personal cell number. I could book her for free to pay for the camera too.

After that, I booked her quite a bit. Once or twice a month. It was only am excuse to see her again, though. Then one day, a year after I met her, I asked her out. She said yes. We went back to the Mo's where she bought me lunch again the year before. We talked about what we were in college for. It was photography for me and modeling for her. We talked about life and shit, as you do on a date. Then she got a call. She went outside and took it. When she came back in, she looked frustrated.

"It's my dad, I got to go, I'm so sorry. I promise, I will make up for this."

I only nodded. As she left, I asked for the bill and paid. I left, feeling hurt.

She did make up for leaving that date early. She started texting me more and being around me more. Outside of modeling, of course. We had been together for a year when we went on a picnic. It was a hot summer day and we were talking about college and life, like normal. We ate the delicious meal I prepared. Then it started to... snow. You don't even get snow in Oregon, we get slush. This was so weird, but she loved it. She stood and started dancing. I took out my camera and started filming. She looked like an angel with the snowflakes in her hair. She was smiling so big, you could tell she was having the time of her life. When we got home, we took a shower together. Things got pretty steamy. That was the day I lost my virginity, but it wasn't the day she lost hers, as I found out the next day. Today.

Today, she was found dead in her dad's bedroom. Her dad had murdered her. Took a gun and he shot her twenty times. He confessed to raping Saraphina since she was six. He took pride in it. The man raped my Saraphina then took her away from me.

But don't worry Saraphina. I will be with you again soon. Tonight. I will be able to say I love you tonight, when I come after you. Don't worry.
